Part 7 : Back to Lustrous Moon Parker It was a long drive back to his pack and he was a little more than shocked that Belladonna was still driving the car that hed bought her .
It still looked to be in good condition as well .
It was well maintained , he supposed and washed on a regular basis .
Theyd stopped overnight in a nice hotel that hed pre booked , once knowing they were going to be travelling with him instead of making the trip in one long drive , he wouldnt be taxing her like that .
He and his unit switched drivers every couple of hours and that was how they did the trips in one day .
But Belladonna was driving that car alone .
Hed offered to have one of the boys or himself share the driving with her , but shed just shaken her head and stated , No , thanks Im good .
And hed let it go .
He had asked her about the car when seeing it outside the front of the orphanage , the morning they were due to leave .
It had been in the garage and unseen to him on all his trips to the Hollowed Moon .
She still just ran everywhere from what hed seen , she was fast on two feet , being an Alpha Wolf herself .
Likely could get to the pack hospital quicker than waiting on the roller door to lift and back the car out of the driveway and navigate the streets .
On foot one could hop fences and cut out half the travel time .
Hed asked her about still having the same car , and shed looked at it and shrugged , stated Why replace something that still works ? It might be eleven and a half years old , but I dont drive it like you would yours , here , there and everywhere .
Its only got 40 thousand miles on it .
Technically , it could still be considered under mileage warranty for a new car .
Hed thought about that , and she was right .
A new Mercedez Benz had a 60 thousand mile warranty on it .
Hed stared at her , as had his unit .
He travelled more than that , averaging 18 to 20 thousand miles in a calendar year with all his commuting between his main pack and the subsidiary packs , to and from his human world head office in Oklahoma City , and hour from the pack itself and the attending of Mating Balls .
He bought a new car every seven or eight years .
The car he was travelling in now was only four years old .
If shed been inside his pack hed have replaced her car when he did his .
Most cars only had a life expectancy of 200 thousand miles .
Though that was also based on the maintenance of the car and the brand you bought as well .
1/4 +8 Poin Part 7 : Back to Lustrous Moon Hed left it alone but would have his mechanic go over her car when they got to his pack , to make sure it was fine , though there was not a single issue with it on the trip .
But if she was going to be driving long distances , he wanted to make sure it was in good condition , so there would be no issues with it .
Kane pulled up out the front of the house in the pack which shed opted for herself and the children to stay in while there .
She didnt want to be in the packhouse , though she had told him it wasnt because of him .
She just preferred to live in a home .
That was how shed grown up , and then shed lived at the alpha college in a two bedroom cottage , and in the Hollowed Moon a house .
Shed only ever lived inside a packhouse when shed lived within the Lustrous Moon , never at any other time .
Hed just nodded , wasnt bothered by it , had prepped for that .
His gut feeling about her staying in Lustrous Moon had been a house out in the pack considering where she was living in the Hollowed Moon .
Parker got out of the car and waved his unit off to go and see their Mates and children.
It was only just after lunchtime , they could take the rest of the day off .
Though after seeing Belladonna and the children into the house , hed probably be in his office for the afternoon unless Belladonna or Whit wanted him for something .
She looked up at the house as she got out of her car and stretched herself out , before getting Milly out .
It was on a nice piece of land that had plenty of grass for the kids to play outside .
It was a split level home on a sloping block of land with a carport under the upper deck that came off the upstairs floor .
It was he thought a nice home , and was only a 15 minute walk to the packhouse , not too close but not too far away either .
Both Whitney and Milly had rooms on the upper floor and the Master bedroom was on the ground floor .
Hed tried to keep it similar to what they lived in , in an effort to help both Whitney and Milly feel comfortable .
He had it set up with the latest gaming technology in the rumpus room upstairs , and there were plenty of toys for Milly to play with as well .
Hed pretty much turned the upstairs into a kids zone and downstairs were the master bedroom , kitchen and living spaces were more adult .
He walked them up the stairs to the front door and into the foyer of the house .
It had a sitting area just past it and the stairs that led upstairs , and downstairs came off that .
He directed the children upstairs and Belladonna downstairs .
All the furniture was brand new and though the house itself was only two years old , hed had it 2/4 +8 Point : Part 7 : Back to Lustrous Moon repainted , to what he hoped was ideal for a four year old and nine year old , as well as an adult she wolf .
Belladonnas room was lovely and stylish , filled with plush furnishings in white and soft grey that he hoped she would like .
Millys room was simple with bright pops of colour in aqua and pinks , and he hoped shed like it .
Whitneys room was simple but styled in a gaming theme .
The boy hed seen played Pacman a lot and so had gone with that .
All the rooms were simple because he didnt really know what they would want in their bedrooms , but hed also not wanted to go overboard either and seem like he was trying too hard .
Just appear to be giving them nice comfortable spaces for them to sleep in or hang out in .
Its about a 15 minute walk to the packhouse from here , Parker told Belladonna , Its nice , she nodded .
Close to the hospital I noticed .
She looked right at him as he leaned on the bedroom doorway to her room .
He hadnt stepped inside it because it was her personal space .
Im not expecting you to work Belladonna .
This is , I guess , a vacation , and youre not a pack member anymore .
I do , however , know that most of the wolves you would have socialised with work at the hospital , and they all live in this part of the pack .
I thought you might like that is all .
Mm , is Annette still in the house three doors down ? she asked .
Yes , he nodded .
Ive not told her youre coming .
He smiled .
Hed thought hed surprise his pack doctor with Belladonna being here for a visit , knew shed like that .
She always asked after you , still badgers me about poaching you from the Hollowed Moon , or getting you to agree to come an intern here for a few months .
He watched Belladonna smile right at him and his heart raced a little at the sight of it .
She looked happy right at that minute .
Itll be nice to see her again .
Well unpack , and Ill bring Whit up to the packhouse afterwards , She told him .
Parker nodded , that was his cue to leave , and he knew it .
He stepped away from her bedroom door and headed up the stairs to let Whit know he was off to the packhouse and his mother would bring him up later after theyd unpacked .
He was holding onto his sisters hands while kneeling on his bed , and they were bouncing up and down on it , playing already .
It made him smile as he left the house , seems that things were going along smoothly for the arrival pack into the Lustrous Moon .

Finally , they were all here .
He hoped that things were going to go well from this point onwards .
He wanted to announce Whitney to the pack but knew that he couldnt , not as his heir and certainly not without Whitney or Belladonnas permission .
He thought about it for only a moment and then put a call in to her .
Yes Parker .
She answered the phone .
He liked that she had his number saved into her phone .
Belladonna , I have an odd question for you .
I want to inform the pack that you and Whitney are here , but I dont want you or him to think Im announcing him as the heir at the same time .
May I tell the pack youre both here ? he asked her .
I dont see why not .
Itll also let those few that moved here from Hollowed Moon know were in the pack , if they want to catch up .
Only a dozen of them , he acknowledged .
But thank you , Ill keep it to family , not titles .
Alright , she stated .
Ill do it now .
That way , by the time you come to the packhouse , everyone will know .
He smiled , she didnt seem uncomfortable with being here , kind od sounded more than okay about it .
That he was hoping was a good sign .
