Chapter 6

The call came back fast.

“No travel logs for Luna. As for the guards… they vanished the next day.”

Alex’s growl rumbled through the room like distant thunder.

“Keep searching!”

Seven days passed.

Still, no sign of Fiona.

His phone buzzed constantly.

Jessica. Elsa. Catherine.

Their names blinked on the screen like flies circling decay.

He tapped mute and hurled the phone onto the couch.

The packhouse, once vibrant with Fiona’s warmth, now echoed with emptiness.

Gleaming obsidian floors, howling wolf-head chandeliers, imported fur-lined drapes-it all felt hollow.

Every trace of her had been erased.

The forest-scented candles she loved? Gone.

The moss-green walls she painted herself? Covered in blood-red velvet.

The armchair where her cat used to sleep? Burned in the firepit out back.

Then the doorbell rang.

Alex opened it.

The three sisters stood on the threshold, glittering in gold dresses, perfume choking the air.

“Alpha~” Jessica purred, slinking up his side.

“You haven’t called us in days. Are we… abandoned little wolves now?”

Catherine’s red-rimmed eyes shimmered. “Do you still love us?”

Elsa stepped forward, her heels sharp against the marble. She brandished a stack of scroll-like medical records.

“We have news,” she said sweetly.

“We’re carrying your pups. All three of us.”

The temperature in the room dropped ten degrees.

Alex’s expression darkened like a storm.

“Get rid of it.”

They blinked, stunned.

“But-Alpha, we used moonroot salves every night!” Catherine pleaded.

His voice was razor-sharp, low, final.

“Who allowed you to carry a royal heir without consent?”

He pulled out his comlink and growled into it, “Summon the Healer. Schedule purging rites. Now.”

“No, Alpha! Please!”

Their cries were drowned out by the snarling of guards as they were dragged away.

Alex didn’t even flinch.

At the healer’s temple, he sat still as stone, eyes like frost, watching the red moon pass outside the stained glass.

Days later, his elite trackers returned.

They shoved the missing wolves onto the obsidian tiles of the hall.

Their knees hit the ground with a crack.

Alex lit a cigar, the tip glowing like an ember in the dark.

“Why did you run?”

His voice was low, deadly calm.

One of them trembled, head bowed. He said nothing.

Alex tilted his head toward his Beta.

A second later, a boot came down-crunch.

The other howled as his wrist snapped under the weight.

“What happened that night?”

Alex’s voice was pure ice now.

“Tell me everything. Or I’ll rip the truth out of your soul.”

Still silent-until Alex raised his hand again, showing a photo.

A lone female wolf. A pup. Leaving school.

The both collapsed.

“It was… the sisters,” One of them stammered. “They faked the kidnapping. Paid me 100,000 dollars to lie.”

Alex rose to his feet, fury vibrating through his chest.

“Where. Is. Fiona?”

They both shook like a leaf in winter wind.

“After you left… they summoned rogues. Black-clawed ones. They—”

His voice cracked.

Then-shing!

A silver dagger flew from Alex’s hand and drove straight through their forearm, nailing them to the stone floor.

Blood sprayed. Bones cracked.

His scream echoed across the mountain walls of the pack.
