Chapter 10
The yacht sailed toward the deep sea, the azure surface sparkling with
waves.
Natasha held onto Kaiden’s arm, feigning gentleness as she persuaded him, “Kai, you should let go. Eliza… she’s already gone.”
Kaiden’s face was expressionless, his fingertips unconsciously rubbing the pendant on his chest.
A flash of malice flickered in Natasha’s eyes. Suddenly, she slipped, let out a startled cry, and crashed into Kaiden.
The silver chain of the necklace snapped. Knocked by her, Kaiden lost his balance for a moment, and the pendant fell straight into the sea.
Kaiden’s pupils contracted sharply.
The next second-
He jumped in without hesitation!
Icy seawater instantly engulfed him, but he didn’t care, desperately diving deeper. His fingers clawed frantically through the water, trying to retrieve the pendant.
That was the last thing she had left him. He couldn’t lose it.
Chaos erupted on the boat. Natasha’s face turned deathly pale as she gripped the railing tightly, unable to believe he had jumped into the sea for a bit of ash.

Several sailors quickly jumped in and struggled to drag Kaiden back up.
He was soaked from head to toe, but his hand clutched the pendant tightly, his knuckles white, as if holding onto his last shred of obsession.
At that moment, a nosy passenger on the boat suddenly let out a surprised sound.
“Is this… is this cremains?” The person leaned in for a closer look, frowning.
“No, that’s not right. The texture–this looks just like ashes.”
Kaiden jerked his head up, his gaze sharp as a blade. “What did you say?”
Startled by his look, the person still braced himself and said, “I work in the funeral business. Cremains and ashes have different textures. This is clearly the kind of ashes commonly found in temples…”
He spoke tentatively, a bit worried. “Could it be that your relative’s remains were taken by the crematory for recycling?”
In an instant, Kaiden’s breath stopped.
Ashes? Not cremains?
He knelt by the sea, drenched, and suddenly lowered his head and began to laugh.
That laughter was wild and desperate, sending chills down the spines of everyone around.
Elizabeth wasn’t dead. She had never been dead!

Chapter 10
Elizabeth, you really are ruthless. Even in death, you had to deceive me.
“Elizabeth…” he murmured her name softly, his fingertips caressing the now–empty silver pendant, his eyes filled with an almost pathological
obsession.
“Did you really think… you could escape?”
He no longer wallowed in despair, but began to relentlessly suppress the Stenson Group, day and night.
He poached the core employees of the Stenson Group at high salaries; he cut off all of the Stenson Group’s funding, leaving them isolated and helpless; he even spread rumors in the business world, slandering the Stenson Group for stealing secrets from the Renard Group, plunging the Stenson Group into a storm of public opinion overnight.
The Stenson Group’s stock price plummeted, and Viktor was at his wits‘ end. No matter how he sought help or tried to negotiate, Kaiden only looked at him coldly, not only unmoved, but with a blood–red glint in his
eyes.
“Hand over Elizabeth.” This was the sentence he said most often, and it was his sole purpose.
Viktor gritted his teeth. “She’s dead!”
Realizing he couldn’t get anything out of the Stenson family, Kaiden smiled, his expression icy and chilling.
“Then you can all be buried with her.”
When business tactics could no longer force Elizabeth out, Kaiden tore off his mask completely.
He personally led people into the Stenson’s residence, pinned Viktor to a

chair, and strapped a pound of explosives to him.
“Livestream it.” he ordered his men.
The camera turned on. Kaiden stood behind Viktor, his fingers lightly resting on the detonator, smiling at the screen.
“Elizabeth.” he said softly, his voice as gentle as a lover’s whisper, “I know you’re watching.”
“I’ll give you three days.”

His fingers gently stroked the detonator, a mad smile in his eyes.
“I’ll make the entire Stenson family be buried with you.”
