Chapter 11
Elizabeth eventually came after all.
As soon as her plane landed, she was surrounded by men in black. She didn’t even have time to call for help before her mouth and nose were covered, and she was dragged into a car.
When she woke up again, she was tied to a chair in the grand hall of the Stenson’s residence. Her wrists were bound with delicate silk ribbons, her ankles locked in iron chains, leaving her no room to struggle.
The moment her blindfold was ripped off, under the harsh lights, she saw Kaiden standing before her. His face was as handsome as ever, but his eyes had gone completely mad.
He looked at her, the corners of his lips curling into an impossibly gentle smile, but in his eyes there was only fanaticism.
“Eliza,” he called her softly, his tenderness so chilling it made one’s skin crawl, as if there had never been any betrayal or hurt between them.
“You finally came back.”
Elizabeth stared at him coldly, saying nothing.
Kaiden didn’t mind. He turned and clapped his hands. Two bodyguards dragged in a frail figure and tossed her to the floor as if she were garbage.
It wasn’t Viktor. It was Natasha,
She had long lost her former beauty, her body so thin it was deformed. Her wrists were covered in needle marks, her knees were raw and bloody

from kneeling, and three of her fingernails had been torn off.
When she saw Elizabeth, her pupils contracted sharply, and she crawled toward her like a madwoman.
“Eliza… save me! Kaiden has really lost his mind. He locked me in the basement, stabbed me with needles; he even forced me to learn to paint like you, and if I couldn’t…”
“Shh.” Kaiden stepped on her back, smiling as he interrupted, “Tasha, don’t be so quick to complain.”
He crouched down, gripping the back of her neck, forcing her to look up at Elizabeth.
“Look, your sister is back.”
“Weren’t you always the most jealous of her?”
“Now, I’m giving you a chance.
“Prove in front of her that you’re better than she is,”
A dagger was respectfully handed to Kaiden. It was exactly the same as the one he had used to take Elizabeth’s cardiac blood before.
He naturally grabbed Natasha’s wrist and gently drew the blade across it.
“Ah!”
Blood gushed out instantly, dripping onto the rice paper that had already been laid out. Natasha trembled violently, trying to break free.

“Paint,” Kaiden released her and stepped back, smiling as he commanded, “Paint an identical motherhood painting.”

“If it doesn’t look like Eliza’s…”
“Then paint it again.”

Each of his words was laced with madness. “Do it well. Otherwise, guess how many paintings your blood can afford to waste?”

Natasha trembled all over, her tears mixing with cold sweat and falling onto the paper. She dipped her brush in blood with shaking hands, but the lines she drew were crooked and lifeless..
She never had any real talent for painting, let alone under such fear and
pressure.
Kaiden only glanced at it before letting out a soft laugh. “It doesn’t look like it.”
He grabbed her other hand and made another cut.
“Paint it again.”
Natasha broke down in tears. “I really can’t do it… Please, I’m begging you, for the sake of what we once had, let me go…”
A flash of violence appeared in Kaiden’s eyes. “Can’t do it?”
He pressed a syringe to her chest. “Then let’s try cardiac blood. Maybe it’ll work wonders?”
Natasha screamed in agony, her blood gushing through the tube. Kaiden’s expression didn’t change; he even gently wiped the tears from her face.
“Don’t cry. Every time you cry… I’ll take another tube.”
He smiled, but his eyes were icy. “Eliza was in so much pain before, but she never cried. What right do you have to cry?”

Elizabeth, who had been silent, finally spoke, her voice cold. “Kaiden, that’s enough.”
Kaiden paused, then slowly turned to look at her.
“You feel sorry for her?” he asked softly, the madness in his eyes intensifying.
Elizabeth shook her head. “I just find it disgusting.”

Kaiden laughed, letting go of Natasha and walking toward her step by step.
“Eliza…” He reached out, trying to touch her face. “Everything I’ve done, it’s all for you…”

Elizabeth jerked her head aside to avoid him.
“For me?” she sneered. “You’re insane. You just can’t accept that I left you.”
Kaiden’s expression gradually turned cold.
“That’s right,” he said softly. “I’ve gone mad.”
“But so what?”
He suddenly grabbed her chin, forcing her to look at him.
“Elizabeth, do you really think you can escape?”
