Chapter 12
Elizabeth was imprisoned in Kaiden’s villa, her wrists and ankles bound with delicate chains, her movements restricted to the master bedroom and
the studio.
Every hour, Kaiden would sit in front of her, his fingertips gently tapping a marriage contract, a faint smile playing at his lips.
“Eliza, sign it.”
She looked up, her eyes always cold and desolate. “In your dreams.”
After three days of fruitless negotiation, Kaiden let out a low chuckle, unhurriedly took out his phone, and played a video. In the footage, Viktor was tied to a chair, a gun pressed to his temple.
“If you don’t sign, he dies.”
This was the backup plan he had prepared all along. He knew Eliza would never give in easily, but so what? He would go to any lengths for her.
Elizabeth’s fingertips dug hard into her palm, blood seeping out in tiny drops, yet she felt no pain.
She stared at Kaiden, her voice hoarse. “…What do you really want?”
Kaiden leaned forward, his finger gently caressing her pale lips, his eyes filled with a sickly tenderness,
“I want you to stay by my side.”
“I want you to become my wife tomorrow.”
Chapter 12
“I want you to hang those paintings, all the ones about us that you took away, all over our new home.”

Ever since he learned of Elizabeth’s faked death, he knew that when she went abroad, she had taken two paintings with her.
Lov
The first was from a summer night when they were seventeen. Kaiden had carried her onto the old house’s rooftop to watch the fireworks. She was afraid of heights and clung tightly to his neck, while he laughed and covered her eyes, saying, “If you’re scared, don’t look. Just listen to the sound.” But in the end, she still peeked through her fingers and saw the gentle look on his profile.
The second was from the winter when she was nineteen. She had secretly waited for him downstairs at the Renard Group after work, hoping to surprise him, but her fingers turned red from the cold. When he saw her like that, he was so angry that he took off his coat and wrapped her in it on the spot, scolding her all the way for being foolish.
These paintings were once her most cherished memories. She took them abroad, mixed them in with her new works for an exhibition, but hadn’t had the chance to burn them yet.
And this madman Kaiden not only forced her to sign, but also made her personally hang the paintings in their new home as wedding decorations.
The wedding suite had just been decorated, and to prevent Elizabeth from escaping, he rushed the wedding the very next day.
Their wedding was not held in a church, nor at the place where they first met, but at an auction.
On the night of the auction, Kaiden personally dressed Elizabeth in a gown, fastened a heavy, shackle–like diamond necklace around her neck, and then led her into the venue.

Everyone’s eyes fell on her with envy, but she felt not a trace of joy at getting married.

For so many years, she had dreamed of ending up with Kaiden, growing old together. But now, there was not a hint of happiness in her heart.

On the big screen, instead of blissful wedding photos, there was evidence of Natasha’s downfall.

Long before he went mad tormenting Natasha, Kaiden had already gathered this evidence:
Photos of Natasha sneaking into Elizabeth’s room at night to swap her sedatives; surveillance footage of Natasha drugging Kaiden’s wine and staging fake bed photos, videos of Natasha bribing a doctor to spread rumors about her pregnancy and miscarriage.
Finally, there was a recording.
Natasha screamed hysterically, “It was me, I did it all!”
“I was never pregnant, the miscarriage was fake, the baby was fake!”
“I just wanted Kaiden to hate her, I wanted Elizabeth dead.”
The entire room erupted in shock.
At that moment, Kaiden led Elizabeth onto the auction stage, smiling leisurely at the cameras.
“Thank you all for being witnesses.”
“Today, I will officially marry my fiancée, Elizabeth.”
Elizabeth stood by his side, expressionless, like a delicate puppet.

Kaiden, however, held her hand tenderly. “Not satisfied? I thought you’d be happier.”
He didn’t wait for her answer, but it didn’t matter. After all, once they were married, things would surely be as sweet as before.
He pressed his hand down, announcing the official start of the auction.
This auction was not only to vent for Elizabeth, but also to create buzz for the wedding.

As soon as the first bidder called out a price, the big screen began looping Natasha’s crimes. Her face was magnified, appearing twisted.
Her crimes were repeatedly exposed, and every bid was like a slap, landing hard on her face.
And the person in the photos was being held by bodyguards, trembling in
a corner.
ANT VINAY
Her makeup was ruined from crying, her expensive, carefully chosen
dress soaked in cold sweat, making her look utterly ridiculous. She stared in despair at those who once flattered her for her status as the real heiress, now scrambling to bid on her disgrace.

At last, Natasha broke down completely, collapsing to the floor and screaming in agony.
She had lost, utterly and completely.
