Chapter 324
After the call ended, the car fell silent.

Briar was silent because Thiago’s promise weighed heavily on her. Thiago had promised that as long as she didn’t want those people to live, the best ending they could ever hope for in this lifetime was to rot in prison.
Anyone who understood the implication would know. Once a person was sent to prison, no matter how powerful they were outside, once they were inside, they were a lamb to the slaughter. They could cry for help, and no one would answer. They could want to die and not be allowed to.
With the ability and influence that Ashton and Thiago wielded, keeping those people in prison for life would be child’s play.
Briar was very moved. Thiago made that promise entirely for Ashton’s sake, which showed that he genuinely considered her family. It felt great to be treated as family.
The silence of Ashton and the other two was for a completely different reason. They were all still processing the fact that Thiago clearly treated them differently.
After a long while, Reece spoke up in a pitiful tone. “Ashton, just how much does Thiago dislike us?”
Hamish gave a wry smile. “If we were being honest, we’d dislike ourselves too. We’ve had clues, we’ve had evidence, and yet all this time we haven’t even managed to catch a single person…”
“Exactly. Uncle Thiago thinks we’re too slow, not decisive and ruthless enough!” Ashton nodded.
They were convinced that was the reason.
When all was said and done, what Briar wanted to do and the people she wanted to capture weren’t really that difficult to handle. The complicated part was just the maneuvering and power games between sides.
However, with their combined power, they could do more than just take down Len. It wouldn’t be impossible for them to capture everyone at once.
But they had always acted cautiously, afraid of putting Briar in a position where she’d be targeted or retaliated against later.
But just as Thiago said, Briar was now Ashton’s partner, a member of the Wade family, and their ally. What was there to worry about?
“Since Thiago has spoken, let’s just go all out. If the sky falls, he’ll hold it up for us!” Reece clapped his hands, eager for action.
“That’s right. Let’s go all out,” Hamish agreed.
Ashton said to Briar, “Did you hear that? From now on, we’ll go all out with you!”
As they spoke, the car reached the open space outside the cave in the deserted valley.

Briar stopped the car, turned around, and said meaningfully, “You said it yourselves. If I really go all out, don’t be scared by what you see.”
The three men nodded quickly. Reece even patted his chest to assure her, “No problem. You just go all out. Leave the cleanup work to us.”
Clearly, Ashton, Reece, and Hamish had no idea of Briar’s true fighting and destructive power.
If lan had been there, he would have warned Ashton and the other two as soon as he heard what Briar said.
He would have given them examples of just how terrifying the aftermath could be when Briar was allowed to go wild.
Not even Louie, the head of the three top instructors at the DDC Vanguard Mercenary Special Operations Base, would dare make such a promise to Briar.
Because the cleanup work and the scale of destruction would be far beyond their imagination.
Unfortunately, Ashton and the others had never seen Briar lose control or go on a killing spree, so they thought letting her act freely couldn’t possibly cause that much trouble.
“Alright, then I won’t hold back!” Briar said cheerfully as she began to arm herself.
After she was fully geared up, she turned and gave the three of them a sweet smile. “Since you want me to go all out, wait here in the car. I’ll go in first. You come in five minutes later.”
Ashton nodded. “Alright. Be careful.”
Ashton and the other two assumed that their words had ignited Briar’s fighting spirit and that she wanted to warm up first.
Watching her move quickly and skillfully into the cave, Reece even lit a cigarette with a grin. “Five minutes. That’s just enough time for a smoke.”
Hamish also crossed his legs, looking relaxed. “No rush. Let Briar have some fun.”
Ashton watched her eager back as she ran impatiently into the cave, her face full of smiles, and a faint sense of unease suddenly crept over him.
He couldn’t shake the feeling that something about his wife’s attitude was a little off.
Before Ashton could dwell on it, a series of gunshots echoed from inside the cave.
Listening closely, the rate of fire was far beyond what a single assassin could control.
“What’s going on? Is there a top–tier mercenary hiding in there?” Hamish immediately straightened and stared at the cave entrance.
Reece tossed away his cigarette and drew his gun. “Let’s hope nothing went wrong…”
Ashton didn’t hesitate. He flung the car door open and ran toward the cave.

Reece and Hamish immediately followed, afraid the situation was getting out of their control.

Their intel showed that these people were only supposed to have regular bodyguards, not top–tier
mercenaries.
No matter what, none of them could risk Briar getting hurt. But when they rushed into the cave, they froze. The ground was littered with bodies.
They were scattered everywhere, bleeding profusely and wailing in agony….
However, they were all still alive, though their hands and feet had been shot to pieces.
The sheer gore and violence of the scene were shocking. It was even a spectacle to behold.
Reece swallowed hard. “Briar, you did all this?”
Although the ground was practically flooded with blood, Briar’s clothes were almost completely spotless.
She stood casually against the cave wall, one boot pressing down on a fat man’s body. “Yeah. The moment they saw me, they tried to run. I had no choice but to cripple their arms and legs.”
Her tone was so innocent, as if her massacre had been entirely out of necessity.
The fat man under her boot nearly coughed up blood. “You vicious woman…”
But Briar didn’t give him the chance to finish. She shifted her boot, pressing directly into his wound, making him choke on his own scream.
Ashton surveyed the mess and rubbed his forehead. “Honey, if you don’t mind, I’d like to take a video of this scene and send it to Uncle Thiago to celebrate.”
Was it to celebrate that they had finally wiped out this group of scum? No. It was to celebrate that Thiago would be buried in cleanup work for the next month.
Thiago had personally promised this to Briar. Ashton was confident that with Thiago’s sharp mind, he would immediately get the hint after watching the video.
Briar was speechless. She felt a little guilty. Maybe, just maybe, she had gone overboard.
Before these people had even been thrown into prison, she had already practically destroyed them.
