Juliette’s eyes flickered with surprise.

Why was my mother so free these days? It was just my first day at work, and she already came chasing after me. What on earth did she want this time!
“Alright, I’ll go out and take a look.”
Afraid that her mother was here to cause a scene, Juliette quickly stood up and walked outside
Outside Sphere Corporation, she spotted Sylvia.
They were biological mother and daughter, yet Juliette never once felt a trace of closeness toward her.
“I heard from a friend’s daughter that you’re working at Sphere Corporation, I didn’t believe i at first, but here you are. You ungrateful brat! It looks like everything Vivien said was true. You really are shameless–seducing an executive at Sphere Corporation! And your father’s deal with them falling apart–isn’t that you are doing too?!” Sylvia glared at Juliette with nothing but disgust in her eyes.
“Mom, sometimes I really don’t get it. Why is it that no matter what Vivienne says, you always believe her, but even if I carved out my heart and showed it to you, you’d still think I’m lying?”
“Because Vivien’s such a good girl–she’s never gone against us, But you?” Sylvia shot back.
“You try telling Vivienne to marry the third son of the Donovan family–let’s see if she wouldn’t push back.” Juliette said.
“You–1” Sylvia was so angry.
The moment they met, the tension flared.
“I’ve got work to do. Why are you here?” Juliette asked impatiently.
“There were three men in Vivien’s car. Was that you doing?” Sylvia asked angrily.
“I was going to ask the same. The last time at the adult store, those three reckless men tried to assault me–was that Vivien’s arrangement?” Juliette asked back.
“So what if it was? Vivien was just messing with you! You work at a place like that, surrounded by all sorts of sleazy people–she was trying to teach you a lesson.” Sylvia spoke as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

“They almost ruined me!” Juliette shouted.

“But aren’t you fine now? Meanwhile, Vivien has been having nightmares in the hospital for three straight days! You’re coming with me to the hospital–to apologize to her!”
As she spoke, Sylvia reached out to grab Juliette.
But Juliette swiftly dodged her hand.
“I didn’t arrange those three men, and even if I had the ability to, I wouldn’t. And I’m definitely not apologizing.”
“You unfilial daughter!” Sylvia shouted.
“If that’s all you came here for, then we have nothing more to say. If you won’t leave, I’ll have security escort you out. No matter what, you’re still the president’s wife of Monroe Pharmaceutical. Surely you don’t want to be thrown out in such an undignified way?”
Sylvia glanced at the security guards by the entrance, and though fuming, she stormed off. Once she was gone, Juliette pulled out her phone and stopped the recording.
She skimmed over the five–minute–long audio file and sent it straight to Gavin’s phone.
I had been wondering how to expose Vivienne’s true face–Sylvia had shown up at just the right time.
Didn’t Vivienne love playing the innocent angel in front of Gavin?
Today, I was going to let him see just how rotten that angel truly was inside.
After sending the file, she blocked Gavin’s number again, just in case that scumbag tried to bother her later.
With everything dealt with, she felt a rush of satisfaction. Her work fatigue vanished in an
instant.
After leaving Sphere Corporation, Sylvia went straight to the hospital.
“That wretched girl! She’s completely out of control!” Sylvia cursed as she slammed a designer purse onto the table.
“Mom, was it that bitch Juliette who arranged the men in my car?” Vivienne asked, her face. pale and pitiful.
“Doesn’t seem like it. That girl probably doesn’t have the guts. Vivien, is it possible you’ve

offended someone else without realizing it?” Sylvia frowned.

“Who else could it be? She’s always jealous of me. Mom, why didn’t you drag her here?”
If I saw Juliette right now, I’d tear her apart! I’d slash that pretty face to pieces!
As she was imagining the scene, the door swung open.
Vivien didn’t have time to compose her expression.
For a split second, Gavin thought he saw something twisted and vicious flash across her face.
But the next moment, she was back to looking sweet and pitiful.
Maybe I was just tired and seeing things. After all, I’d only just returned to the country.
“Gavin, you’re here so early today! I’m so happy to see you,” Vivienne greeted him brightly.
“Mm.” Gavin replied flatly, then turned to Sylvia. “Madam Sylvia, where were you today?”
“What, suddenly concerned about me? I’ve been here with Vivien the whole time,” she said, confused.
“Is that so?” Gavin tapped on his phone and played the audio recording Juliette had sent him. half an hour earlier.
As the recording played, it was impossible for him not to be shocked.
In my eyes, Juliette had always been the rebellious one, while Vivienne and Sylvia were the voices of reason, always urging her to do better.
But now… Listening to that recording, Vivienne’s face turned green.
We’d gone to pick a fight with Juliette, and somehow she’d come out with evidence against us.
Seeing her daughter’s accusatory glare, Sylvia made a fatal mistake. She immediately tried to distance herself.
“It’s fake! That recording’s fake! That girl made it up to destroy our family’s harmony! She’s twisted–how could I have raised such a daughter?!”
“Madam Sylvia, if it’s fake, would you mind if I check the surveillance footage? Just to confirm whether or not you went to Sphere Corporation?”
Gavin might’ve leaned toward Vivienne more, but he wasn’t stupid.

There was no way Juliette would fabricate a recording like that out of nowhere. That kind of scheme was too easy to disprove.
Sure enough, Sylvia’s face turned sour, like she’d swallowed something vile. She went completely silent.
“Why would you send people to do something like that to Juliette? You’re sisters!”
“Mom, please leave us.” Vivienne said.
Sylvia opened her mouth but realized she wasn’t as good with words as her daughter, so she reluctantly walked out.
Once it was just the two of them, Vivienne lowered her gaze, eyes glistening with tears.
“Vivien, I always thought you were a kind girl,” Gavin said, a little dazed.
I used to think Juliette was the one constantly in the wrong. But now, with this recording in hand, I was starting to see how many things Vivien had done behind my back.
