After dealing
with the pile of matters at the company. Max didn’t get home until 7 PM.
The lights in the living room were on, and the sound of the news was playing on the TV.
When Max entered and took off his coat, he saw Juliette eating a bowl of instant pasta.
“This pasta is from the fridge. I saw it was about to expire, so I ate it,” Juliette said softly, standing up.
She was just so hungry. When she opened the fridge, she saw plenty of ingredients.
She didn’t dare eat too much or too well, just pasta with a few drops of sauce.
Even so, she was enjoying it.
“You don’t have to tell me everything.”
“Okay.”
She had originally wanted to tell Max about finding a job, but now, Juliette wisely stayed silent.
“Sinclair Group’s president is back in the country. His return could very well signal an upcoming joyous event! He’s about to join forces with Monroe Pharmaceutical! Now, let’s watch the sweet moments of this golden couple from the scene!”
On the TV, the female anchor was reporting the news.
When Juliette heard the mention of Sinclair Group’s president, her eyes locked onto the TV
screen.
On the LCD screen, Gavin was wearing a sharp gray suit, his side profile shining even more brightly under the camera flashes.
Beside him stood Vivienne.
Vivienne was in a pink dress, looking sweet and close to Gavin, leaning on him affectionately.
They really are a perfect match, a couple of sc*mbag and st*t!
Juliette’s heart tightened.
Three years had passed in the blink of an eye, but some things couldn’t just fade with time.

The slap from three years ago, she could still feel the pain so clearly even now. That pain went straight to her soul!
“What’s wrong? Do you like him?”
Max, so sensitive and suspicious, could sense the story between his new wife and the man on TV with just one glance.
Juliette withdrew her gaze and coldly replied, “Staring at someone doesn’t necessarily mean. you like them. It could be dislike, hatred, or disgust–just seeing them makes me want to puke!”
But Juliette was grateful for this news report.
Seeing someone she hadn’t seen in a long time made her remember something.
Five years ago, when her grandfather was gravely ill and before he passed away, he had made a will.
20 percent of the shares in Monroe Pharmaceutical were hers!
She hadn’t paid much attention to it before, but now things were different!
She wouldn’t give what was hers a single penny to them!
The next morning, bright and early.
Her work started at 10, so she had plenty of time in the morning.
I’m heading out. I need to go to the Monroe Residence.”
After a quick goodbye, Juliette left the house.
Her phone was the same one she had three years ago, and last night, she noticed a few dollars. in her PayPal account. She exchanged some change and decided to take the bus to the Monroe family.
Ding ding! Ding ding!
Juliette was at the bus stop, eating some bread, when the sounds of cars behind her kept coming. She turned around.
It was a very ordinary Volkswagen.
“Didn’t you say you were going to the Monroe Residence? I’ll take you there,” Max said, rolling

He didn’t understand why she wanted to go to the Monroe Residence and wondered if it had something to do with the Donovan family or with him.
Naturally, he had to go see for himself.
Juliette nodded. She wouldn’t turn down a faster way, and she smoothly got into the car.
Twenty minutes later, the car arrived at the Monroe Residence.
“You can go ahead, or wait for me here. I need to go in by myself,” Juliette said firmly.
Max’s heart skipped a beat.
Sure enough, this woman can’t hide her true intentions. Has she already sensed something is off with me and is keeping her guard up on purpose?
