Hospital Rule 10

Hospital Rule 10

Chapter 10

I nodded, and Theo started wheeling me away.

Adrian immediately stepped in front of us, blocking our path.

“Honey, the doctor’s here, right? Please save her baby first! It’s a BOY-our future heir.”

I looked at him with a cold snort.

“Your heir. Not mine.”

Then I pointed to my belly.

“There’s something you might not know-Sterling Group’s heir must come from my womb. Boy or girl, they inherit everything.”

“And you let your mistress kill Sterling Group’s true heir in my belly.”

With that, I threw divorce papers at his feet.

“Let’s get divorced.”

Adrian dropped to his knees with a thud.

“NO! I don’t agree to a divorce!”

My eyes went ice cold.

“You don’t get a choice.”

“You cheated first, got your mistress pregnant while I was pregnant, and let her parade as the billionaire’s wife. You’ve committed bigamy.”

Adrian clung desperately to my legs, refusing to let me leave.

“No! You can’t do this to me! As long as I don’t agree, we can’t get divorced!”

I looked at his pathetic state with disdain.

“Adrian. Did you forget what you signed before our wedding?”

When Adrian proposed to me, he volunteered a prenup to prove his devotion-if he ever cheated, he’d leave with

nothing

“How can this be happening?”

“No, I can’t get divorced! Clara’s baby is already dead-that doesn’t count as cheating, right?”

He stared at Clara bleeding out on the floor. His face twisted with madness.

STOMP.

His boot crushed her belly.

“As long as this child dies, there’s no proof I cheated!”

Adrian seemed possessed, kicking Clara over and over again.

Clara’s blood-curdling screams echoed through the hallway, but he wouldn’t stop.

Finally, he grabbed a nearby chair, ready to smash it down on Clara’s stomach.

‘Once you miscarry, no one can prove that baby was mine, and I won’t have to leave with nothing!”

Clara’s eyes went blood red. She grabbed a fallen scalpel and plunged it straight into Adrian’s heart.

‘GO TO HELL!”

Adrian stared at the knife in his chest in disbelief, unable to speak as bright red blood sprayed across Clara’s face. A wisted smile crept across her lips.

‘If you want to drag me to hell, then we’ll go TOGETHER!”

The blade flashed, and Adrian collapsed in a pool of blood.

Adrian was dead-died on the spot.

Clara was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment, but due to massive blood loss, she had to remove her

uterus.

After recovery, police arrested her. One month later-she was sentenced to life imprisonment.

Though I lost my baby, the top surgeons saved my life. I recovered well post-surgery.

After being discharged, I publicly revealed my identity as CEO of Skyline Group. Completely reformed all Skyline hospitals, vowing to become the leading enterprise in healthcare and create hope for all patients.

But rebuilding an empire is easier than rebuilding a shattered heart.

The media called it a phoenix rising from ashes.

They didn’t know the truth-I was fucking broken.

Losing my baby. Watching Adrian die in front of me. The blood. The screams. The empty nursery I’d prepared.

I thought I’d finally have peace.

I was wrong.
