Rewriting the Love Story After Traveling Into the Novel
Chapter 49 I Said Don’t Interfere
Xavier’s expression darkened.
He could already imagine what they had said to her.
“No matter what they said, forget it. You don’t need to pay them any mind.”
Ignore them? Becky thought. If only it were that easy.
They wanted to make trouble for her; there was no way to avoid it.

She looked up. “Xavier, you don’t need to keep paying the nanny–I still have some money. I’ll cover it myself. I’ve kept track of every payment you’ve made, including the apartment. I bought it by selling that handbag Yulia used to own. I don’t have the money to pay you back now, but I will. Just give me some time; I’ll earn it.”
Xavier’s brow furrowed with displeasure, and his grip on her wrist tightened.
His eyes turned cold as he stared at her. “Are you trying to draw a line between us?”
Becky nodded. “Yes. Don’t come here anymore.”
She pried his fingers off her wrist and walked out of the neighborhood.
Tears streamed down her face as she walked.
She told herself it was fine–she could make money; she could take care of James on her own.
Now wasn’t the time to feel sad. She had to work hard, pay off her debts, and live her life with ease.
Xavier followed from a distance, watching the girl in front of him walk briskly, wiping her face over and
over.
She looked heartbroken.
But he knew, now wasn’t the time to approach her.
Becky would blow up on him.
He followed her all the way to the traditional medicine clinic, watching as she stood at the door, hurriedly wiped away her tears, and walked in.
Randall pulled up beside him. Xavier got in. “Take me to the Bolton residence.”
At the Bolton residence, Xavier toyed with an antique tea cup in his hand.
I came back today for one thing, no one is to interfere in Becky’s affairs.”
Henry frowned. “What are you talking about?”
“Exactly what it sounds like”
Henry slammed the table and shouted, “We’re just looking out for you, what kind of attitude is that?”
Lilian tried to calm him down. “Don’t get worked up, honey. Let’s just talk it throu”

Henry turned on her. “Does he look like he’s here to talk? I’m so angry I could explode!”
Lilian turned to Xavier. “Xavier, we didn’t even say much to Becky. We just think that since you’re already divorced, you shouldn’t be involved anymore. Now she shows up with a kid–her intentions are obvious. We only warned her a little, that’s all.”
She knew her son had always protected Becky–even when she made mistakes, he stood by her.
Like when they got married…
Xavier switched the tea cup to his other hand, still fiddling with it. “Her intentions? You think she’s using the kid to cling to me?”
He laughed coldly. “You’re overthinking.”
Yvonne jumped in. “Dude, you’ve been fooled by Becky! She’s obviously trying to use the baby to trap you and force you to remarry her.”
Xavier’s icy gaze swept toward her. “And now you know everything, do you?”
“Of course I do! She’s just-”
Xavier’s face grew even darker.
“Yvonne, I remember warning you–don’t mess with her.“,
Yvonne shouted, “Who messed with her? She messed with me! She kicked me two days ago, ask mom and dad if you don’t believe me. She’s totally out of control now; she thinks she’s better than everyone!”
“Serves you right.”
“Hey! How can you say that?”
Xavier ignored her.
He turned his gaze on Henry and Lilian. “I hope you’ll take what I said seriously.”
He loosened his fingers; the tea cup fell and shattered instantly.
Henry shot to his feet, furious as he looked at the broken remains of his beloved antique.
“You!”
Lilian frowned deeply.
Things were worse than she thought.
“Xavier, what are you saying? Do you want to get back together with Becky?”
Xavier didn’t hesitate. “I do. But now it seems even harder.”
Henry and Yvonne both froze in shock.
ガール
Yvonne screamed, “Bro, are you insane? You finally got out of that mess, and now you want to dive back in? What is wrong with you? Did she cast a spell on you or something?”

Chapter 49 Said Don’t Interfere
“It wasn’t a mess.”
Xavier threw that line over his shoulder and left the Bolton residence.
Lilian sank onto the couch, dazed.
Henry looked absolutely livid.
Yvonne shook Lilian’s arm. “Mom, what do we do? Is Bro really out of his mind? Why would he want to remarry Becky? I’m gonna lose it,I don’t want to be family with her again!”
Lilian didn’t answer. It was as if something had clicked; without a word, she went upstairs.
Yvonne stomped in frustration. Her mind raced, searching for a way to stop Becky from remarrying her brother.
Right, there was still Yulia!
At a dessert shop, Yulia sat across from Yvonne and pushed a slice of strawberry cake toward her.
“Yvonne, have some. Their strawberry cake is amazing. I remember you liked this kind of dessert.”
Yvonne’s eyes sparkled with gratitude. “Yulia, you’re the best! You even remember what I like. If you were my sister–in–law, I’d be so lucky.”
Yulia covered her mouth with a smile. “You’re being just a slice of cake.”
–
“No, it’s not just cake. My brother doesn’t even treat me this well. All he does is defend Becky.”
Of course Yulia knew. She’d known that for a long time, which was why she’d always resented Becky.
Feigning innocence, she asked, “So, what did you want to talk to me about today?”
