Rewriting the Love Story After Traveling Into the Novel
Chapter 60 The Baby
Becky wondered if she’d caused trouble for Xavier.

She’d repeated over and over that he didn’t need to take responsibility for the child. He could date whoever he wanted; it had nothing to do with her.
As long as he didn’t bother her or interfere with her and James‘ life, she wouldn’t bother him.
But James was still Xavier’s child, and if Yulia minded that, Becky could understand.
“Ms. Yulia, I’ll say this once, I didn’t use the baby to tic Xavier down. The child is mine and mine alone- believe it or not. Instead of coming to me, you should focus on winning Xavier over.”
Yulia bit her lip.
It was only because she had no other options that she came to Becky in the first place.
She didn’t dare go to Xavier; she was afraid he’d cut ties with her completely.
At least this way, she could still lie to herself, hold onto a sliver of hope.
As long as Becky and Xavier had no future, he’d eventually come back to her.
“Becky, do you really not like Xavier anymore?”
“Of course not. I divorced him, didn’t I?”
Suddenly, Yulia grabbed Becky’s hand. “Becky, can you help me, please?”
Becky looked at her like she was insane and pulled her hand back.
“Becky, I believe you, I believe you don’t like Xavier anymore. But he’s holding back because of you and the baby. Could you help me? Help me marry him?”
Becky was speechless. Has Yulia lost her mind? Even if I don’t like Xavier anymore, I am still his ex–wife. And now this woman is asking me to help play matchmaker? What is she even thinking?
“I know it’s a bold request,” Yulia said, “but you’re the only one who ean help me.”
Becky didn’t bother replying. She stood up and pushed her out of the consultation room.
“I suggest you get a doctor appointment. Something might be wrong with your brain.”
Yulia went quiet.
Becky couldn’t care less about their mess.
Yulia walked out of the traditional medicine clinic, her face dark. Becky claimed she didn’t care about Xavier, but it was all an act. If she really didn’t care, why wouldn’t she help? She’s just saying one thing and meaning another.
Back at home, Grace immediately grilled her. “What’s going on with you and Xavier? Any progress? When are you getting married?”
She had no idea Yulia and Xavier didn’t get back together, let alone plan a wedding.

Yulia didn’t want to talk about it. She lowered her head and started heading upstairs, but.Grace grabbed her and launched into a scolding.
“Say something! Why are you sulking like this? I’m starting to wonder if you’re even my daughter. My daughter wouldn’t be such a coward. She drugged Xavier–why can’t you? Get pregnant; that’ll solve. everything.”
Yulia wanted to. But there was never an opportunity. Xavier wouldn’t give her the chance.
Sometimes, she wondered if the only reason Becky had succeeded was because Xavier let her.
If he’d been firm, Becky would never have gotten close.
Grace jabbed her a few times in the forehead. “Idiot! Useless!”
Jake walked in and burst out laughing at the scene.
Yulia glared at him.
Other people’s brothers were supportive–hers just made fun of her.
Now that Jake was back, Grace turned her attention to him and stopped scolding Yulia.
She let out a quiet sigh of relief and ran upstairs.
Meanwhile, at the Bolton residence, Lilian had been worried lately.
She barely touched her dinner before setting down her fork.
“Henry, we should find someone new for Xavier.”
Henry paused, thought for a moment, then nodded. “Alright. You pick the candidates.”
Yvonne immediately chimed in. “Mom, why go looking when there’s already someone perfect?”
“Who?”
“Yulia, of course.”
“Yulia?”
“Yeah. She and Xavier like each other, she’s well–mannered, has a good personality–they’re a great match. Let her be my sister–in–law.”
Lilian frowned slightly.
Yulia’s family background was average; not exactly top–tier in Dracovia.
“We’ll see.”
“What’s there to see? I think she’s great.”
“What do you know? Stay out of grown–up business.”
Yvonne pouted. “With the way my brother is, there’s no way he’ll go along with a blind date. I say just go ahead and arrange his marriage with Yulia. Once that’s settled, Becky won’t have a leg to stand on.”

Lilian fell silent, mulling over Yvonne’s words.
When she visited the Moore family, Grace and Yulia were thrilled.
Lilian took a long look at Yulia.

She wasn’t as beautiful as Becky, but she had a graceful air about her–poised and polished, like a proper lady from a respectable family.
Lilian turned to Grace. “I came today to talk about Xavier and Yulia.”
Yulia hadn’t expected happiness to come so suddenly.
Her heart pounded as she looked nervously at Lilian.
Lilian sipped her tea, then continued, “I know they had a brief relationship before. I just want to know how Yulia feels about Xavier now.”
Before Yulia could speak, Grace cut in. “Yulia definitely likes Xavier. She’s always liked him, head over heels. When she found out he got married, she cried every day.”
Lilian turned her gaze back to Yulia, waiting for her answer.
