Chapter 87 Markus
I am frowning as I get ready for out date with out mate. Ama wants to question her parents or at least be there when we do. Cal and I don’t want het anywhere near her parents. But she will give therapy a chance if we allow her to talk with her parents.
Cal hasn’t stopped growling since we left the room to allow Ama to get ready for tonight. He is pacing and growling as he and Zviad talk. I can only imagine what Zviad is saying as Aziz keeps growling and muttering curses in the back of our mind.
“We go and kill them now, Aziz says. ‘Make it look like a rogue attack.
We are not killing her parents without getting information,‘ I sigh, although it is a very appealing option.
Aziz huffs in irritation.
“We need information that they may have,” I say out loud.
“Never said we would kill them out right,” Cal huffs in agitation.
“At the end of the day,” I start, “do we know that we can protect Ama?”
“Of course,” Cal shouts at me.
“Then we need to trust that we will protect her as we talk with her parents if she is there with us,” I sigh.
“How are you so calm about this? These are the people that abused our mate for years,” Cal demands from me. He is supposed to be the calm, level–headed one.
“I’m not calm!” I shout in frustration. I take a breath and then continue. “But if we refuse her or keep her away from her parents, we are controlling her. If we’re controlling her, then we are no better than her parents. I know that we are stronger than her parents, Jarrett, and maybe even Lawrence if he decides to throw his support in with
the traitors.”
That statement sobers Cal up from his rage.
“Okay, so what if we persuade her to not confront her parents?” Cal asks, irritation at the situation still in his
tone.
“You honestly think that she is going to back down?” I question as I button up my shirt.
“No,” he sighs. He is rolling up his sleeves to his shirt.
We decided to go semi formal in attire for the date tonight. Ama had a floral dress that we bought for her back when she was still in her coma that would look perfect tonight. Cal and I decided to wear button down shirts that
would match her dress.
“Cal, did you make the reservations at the restaurant for tonight?” I ask as I start to roll up my sleeves.

“Yes,” he says with a sigh. “We have them for seven tonight.”
“Cool, cool,” I say as I look at my watch, 4:15. “Uncle Will and Mike will be here within the hour to watch Rose.”
Goddess, I’m getting nervous. Why am I nervous? We know Ama, she knows us. We love her and she loves us. It should not be this nerve wracking.
“Breath before you send us all into a panic induced spiral,” Cal growls at me as he is taking a deep breath to try and calm us down through our bond as twins.
I take a deep breath and force down my panic. I can start to feel Ama’s own nerves as she is getting ready. I then concentrate on Cal. He is just as nervous as I am. The three of us are all a bundle of nerves. Okay, push back my nerves and focus on being confident. I can do this.
We are going to a romantic restaurant in Gretna, Nebraska. We decided to stay out of Omaha as it’s mainly controlled by another pack. The suburb that we are going to, is part of neutral territory. Velvet Flavors had good reviews online. Even a few of our pack members had gone over the years and said that it was a very nice experience with their mates.
“It’s an hour and a half to the restaurant,” I mutter as I start to plan how long we have left until we have to leave.
Cal rolls his eyes at me. “If we leave by 5:15 at the latest, we will get there with time to spare.”
“I’m going to go get a snack,” I say. I need something to distract me.
Cal rolls his eyes at me as he follows me to the kitchen. I then start to raid the fridge for a snack. I pull out the waffles from this morning and start to snack on one.
“Barbarian,” Cal laughs as he snags his own.
We both are munching on our waffles when the back door opens.
“I know you were taught table manners,” Uncle Mike sighs as he wheels himself in.
“Yea, well,” I say with a smile.
“You boys clean up nicely,” Uncle Will smirks as he shuts the door behind them.
“Now, you know how to treat a lady and what to do?” Uncle Mike smirks at us.
“Yes,” Cal says as he rolls his eyes.
“Open the door for Ama. Pull out her chair for her and then push it in,” I say with a smile.
“Pay for the meal and then anything else after the meal,” Cal says with a sigh.
“What comes after the meal?” a heavenly voice asks as she enters the kitchen.
I turn to face Ama as she stands in the doorway. She is more beautiful than last night. Ama looks much more in her element in the floral dress and minimal makeup that Vickie had taught her how to apply yesterday.

Base walks in with her Indding her hand. “Mommy tetty? the **ys happity.
“She’s very pretty,” I say with a windte est approach Ama and Roe.
“Pretty indeed, Cal smirks as he follows.
Before we are able to steal kisses, Uncle Mike interrupts. “Alright, get going,” he laughs.
“You sure that you are okay with babysitting as we go out for a date?” Ama asks.
“Oh yes, we have the whole night planned,” Uncle Will laughs as he scoops up Rose.
“Go have fun and enjoy yourselves. The pack will still be here when you get home,” Uncle Mike says as he
dismisses us.
“Okay,” I say as 1 link my arm with Ama’s and lead her out to the car.
Cal snags the keys to our BMW M4 that we had James bring by carlier from the pack house.
