To protect what’s mine
Chapter 90 Amalie
Dinner is amazing. I have Cal and Mark order for me as I have no idea what most of the dishes are. 1, at first, feel
like a small child needing her parents order for her. But the twins are quick to assure me that I am fine, and they
also have no idea what some of the dishes are too.
The twins order several different dishes for me to try. My favorite is a shrimp carbonara. The red peppers are very sweet, and dish was perfect. The twins had ordered steaks and had fed me pieces of each of their steaks. For
dessert, I had cheesecake, Mark had chocolate cake, and Cal had a vanilla cake with strawberries. I stole bites from
their cake.
Once we were done, I felt like one of my twins was going to have to carry me to the car. I was so full and tired.
“I hope that you enjoyed your meal,” Chris says as he starts to gather up our glasses from the table.
“Everything was perfect,” I sigh as I follow Cal out of the booth.
Mark opens his wallet and leaves more than enough to cover our meal. “Thank you for the hospitality.” Mark says.
“Alpha, please,” Chris tries to stop Mark.
“Nonsense, you did nothing wrong, and you have more than made up for what happened earlier,” I tell him with a
smile.
“Thank you very much for your kindness, Luna,” Chris says as he accepts the money and gives a slight bow. “Please travel home safely.”
“Have a good evening,” Cal says as he links his arm with mine.
I sigh as I lean into him. I turn slightly to see Mark gather my leftovers. He then quickly catches up to us as we
walk to the exit.
“Did you enjoy the meal?” Cal asks me.
“It was very good,” I tell him as we walk past the line that has grown since we arrived.
“I’m glad,” Mark says as he opens the first door for me.
Cal quickly opens the second door. We are hit with a blast of heat from the last of the day. I look up at the sky and see two stars, I want to get home where I can see more stars.
“Everything okay?” Mark asks.
“Yep, I just want to get home to see the stars,” I tell him with a small smile. “I have not gone star gazing for
years.”
Mark opens the door for me as Cal assists me into the car. Mark then places my leftovers in the trunk as Cal climbs into the back seat. Mark then gets into the front seat.

*the lads wrold like to pe are start, fark cays as he puts the car into drive. “I know of a good spot.
It takes et an has to get to the good spot. As we are driving. I’m content to watch out the window at the other cars drive past. We are listening to the radio play country music. Mark at some point has taken a hold of my hand and is drawing little circles on the back with his thumb.
Okay, close your eyes,” Mark says as he slows down the car.
“Why?” I ask him in a challenge.
“Because, darling. I don’t want you to ruin the magic,” he tells me dramatically.
“Alright,” I laugh as I close my eyes. I can still feel the car moving. It moves for another ten minutes before it finally comes to a stop.
“Keep them closed,” Cal tells me. Then both he and Mark are getting out of the car. Everything is quiet for a few minutes. No other doors open or close. No voices from anyone else. I take a sniff, but since I am in the vehicle. with the windows closed, all I can smell is the three of us.
I’m starting to get nervous. I really want to open my eyes.
“Just a peak?” Beren tells me. Her own nerves are getting the better of her.
I’m about to open my eyes when the car door opens and I smell my mates.
“Sorry love,” Cal apologizes as he assists me out of the car.
“We had to get something set up first,” Mark tells me as they guide me.
“I was worried about you,” I point out to them.
“We’re sorry.” Cal says as I feel him press a kiss to my hair as he is behind me.
“We did not mean to worry you,” Mark says, in front of me. He then presses a kiss to my forehead. “But I think we might be forgiven.”
“Open your eyes,” Cal tells me.
I blink my eyes open. We are standing on a tall hill. It’s taller than the surrounding hills. But what takes my breath away is the blanket that is set out with a few candles. It’s such a romantic and sweet sight.
“Look up,” Mark says as he adjusts my chin.
I look towards the sky. Millions upon millions of stars twinkle in the sky. Each one, a beautiful sight as they pierce the sky. I can see the milky way and some purple. It’s beautiful, truly breathtaking.
I can feel my mates lead me to the blanket. We all lay back on the blanket and look up at the sky.
“Do you know any of the constellations?” Mark asks me as he uses my leg as a pillow.

“There is the goddess.” Cal says quietly. He points to a group of stars.
“We know constellations?” Mark asks.
“Ama always liked them,” he mutters quietly.
“Thank you,” I says with a smile. I reach back and set my hand on his hand.
“Anything for you,” he tells me as he flips his hand and squeezes my hand.
“What other constellations do you know about?” Mark asks, curiosity painting his tone.
“There is Leo the Lion,” Cal says as he points towards another group. “That is the North Star. Then over there is
the First Wolf.”
