Savannah closed her eyes deeply and bit her lips. “Doctor, please help me to issue the surgery form.”
“All right then.” The doctor nodded, not intending to persuade her anymore. “I’ll make sure the operating room staff take good care of you. We’ll get you in as soon as possible so you can rest a bit longer.”
“Thank you.”
Savannah whispered her gratitude, and then, she slowly stepped out of the examination room with her weakened legs.
However, the moment the door closed, she could barely hold herself up and almost collapsed on the floor.
Fortunately, at that moment, a pair of hands caught her just in time.
Struggling to regain her composure, Savannah attempted to express her thanks. However, much to her surprise, a familiar face with bewildered eyes came into her view.
“D–Daya?”
“Savannah! What are you doing here?”
In a long dress, Zendaya was now looking a bit plumper compared to before due to her pregnancy. She looked at Savannah in disbelief and noticed the induced abortion form in her hand. “Are you pregnant too?”
Savannah was at a loss for words.
Savannah instinctively hid the form behind her back.
The fact that she would encounter Zendaya here today was something she never could have imagined, even in her wildest dreams.
Her face turned pale as she stammered, “Daya, no, Ms. Yates… Why are you in this hospital? Weren’t you supposed to be at Edgar’s hospital for your pregnancy check–up?”
“I didn’t go to that brat’s hospital for the pregnancy check–up. Every time he sees me there alone, he starts making sarcastic remarks about my husband not accompanying me, saying I must have found some bad man or something. I got tired of it… Wait, that’s not the point now!”
Zendaya pulled Savannah aside into a corner and whispered, “When did you get pregnant? Why hasn’t a word about it leaked out from the Muir family?”
“Because I didn’t tell them about it…”
Savannah hung her head low and spoke in an inaudible voice, “I dare not tell them. Channing doesn’t like me, and Winona has returned… He would think I intentionally got pregnant.”

Zendaya fell silent for a moment, suddenly unsure of how to respond.
Because what Savannah said was true.
Savannah was not someone who could easily embrace motherhood like her.
Savannah had many considerations and faced numerous difficulties.

By all rights, Savannah was the daughter of the man who had murdered Zendaya’s father. Zendaya shouldn’t have felt any sympathy for her. She should have relished in her misfortune, shared this incident far and wide, and made Savannah an object of ridicule in their circle once again.

Zendaya gritted her teeth and couldn’t help looking at Savannah’s flat abdomen. “Regardless, there’s a precious life inside your belly, your baby! If you decide to get an abortion, won’t you feel sorry?”
“Of course I will…”
Since discovering her pregnancy, Savannah had had no one to confide in, and she hadn’t had a good night’s sleep.
Now, under Zendaya’s words, her emotions finally crumbled. “Daya, I really can’t bear to part with this child. She may have been an accident, but she’s the only family member who came to me after Dad fell into a coma. But she’s an unfortunate child. Channing doesn’t like her either, and bringing her into this world will only make her suffer…”
“Who says her Dad doesn’t like her, and she’s an unfortunate child?”
Zendaya was both angry and anxious. She gripped Savannah’s hand tightly and said, “A dad is just nothing but a man. If he doesn’t like you, does that mean you should give up on everything?”
“Savannah, listen to me. Women give birth to children not for men but for themselves. As long as you want this child, then have it. I’ll even help you raise it if necessary!” she continued.
