Chapter 7
“Madison, get to Downtown General Hospital RIGHT NOW!” His voice was urgent and icy. He hung up before she could respond.
Madison didn’t know what was happening but hesitated, then headed over.[]
Just outside the ER, Blake grabbed her arm with bruising force: “Harper was in a car accident! Massive blood loss! She’s RH–negative and the blood bank’s running low! You’re the same type–you need to donate blood for her right now!“[]
Madison was stunned: “…You called me here to donate blood to her?“[]
“What else? You want Harper to die? Move!” Blake wasn’t taking no for an answer, practically dragging her toward the blood donation room.]]
I’m not doing it! Blake, let me go!” Madison fought back, terrified and furious.[]
But her resistance meant nothing against Blake’s absolute strength. She was forced into the donation chair as the needle pierced her vein.]]
The nurse watched the blood volume and tried to stop it: “Mr. Morrison, we’ve already taken 1000cc–we can’t take any more! Taking more could be dangerous for this young lady!”
Blake stared at the red light above the operating room, eyes cold and stubborn: “Not enough! Harper has a clotting disorder–take more for backup! Keep going!”
The cold tubes kept draming her blood. Madison felt waves of dizziness and chills before everything went black.[]
When she woke up, she was in a hospital bed with an IV drip.]
And Blake was sitting beside her.
The moment she opened her eyes, instead of concern, she got his ice–cold accusation: “Madison, I never thought you could be so evil! How DARE you mess with Harper’s brakes?! You wanted her dead that badly?”
Madison stared in shock: “…I didn’t! When did I ever touch her car?”
“Harper said it herself! You were the only one who got near her car when you borrowed‘ something!” Blake didn’t believe her, eyes sharp as knives. “The evidence is clear–still gonna lie?“]
Madison instantly understood–another one of Harper’s setups!
And Blake believed her without question.]]
She opened her mouth, but realized any explanation would be useless.
Med already decided she was guilty.
In the end, Blake called the police on Madison for assault. Too weak from blood donation to resist, she was dragged straight to jail.
Those three days were the darkest of her life-

Punches, slaps, pinching, hair pulling all routine.]

The other inmates stole her barely edible prison food and shoved her face against the filthy floor in humiliation. Every breath tasted of blood and despair, every second felt like an eternity. The physical pain was nothing compared to her completely shattered soul.[]
She had truly wanted to die
When she finally got out, dragging her battered body hack to the apartment building, someone suddenly hit her from behind. Everything went black as a bag was thrown over her head!!]
Then heavy metal zoda rained down on her like hail

Then Madison felt the bag opening slightly, and several cold, slimy, writhing things were thrown in. Immediately wrapping around her neck and arms!]
Chapter 7
The sound of hissing right against her skin–snakes! Her worst fear![]
Endless terror seized her heart, nearly stopping it. She struggled frantically but couldn’t make a sound.[]
The bag was tied shut again. Before she knew it, rough hands lifted her up and sent her flying into the cold, dark river![]
Water rushed into her nose, drowning and terror consuming her completely.[]
“Help me… help… me… .“O
After what felt like forever, just when she thought she’d die for sure, someone finally pulled her out and dumped her like trash on a deserted road.[]
The bag was untied. Madison coughed violently, spitting up muddy water, everything a blur.[]
Soaked to the bone, wounds stinging and numb from the cold water, shivering uncontrollably, she used her last bit of strength to crawl out of the bag. Icy rain hit her face, mixing with her tears.
She tried to stand but blacked out completely.[]
When she woke up again, she was back in a hospital bed.[]
A nurse saw her awake and said mechanically: “You’re up? Go pay your medical bills.“[]
Madison struggled out of bed, leaning against the wall as she slowly made her way to the payment counter.
At a hallway corner, she ran into Blake and Ryan coming out of a VIP room.[]
Both looked shocked to see her.]]
Blake spoke first, frowning: “What are you doing at the hospital?”
His eyes swept over her hospital gown and visible bruises.[]
Madison didn’t answer, just stared hard at the man next to Blake who looked identical but had a completely different vibe–Ryan Morrison.[]
Blake’s expression shifted slightly as he naturally introduced them: “This is my brother Ryan, just back from abroad. He’s here visiting Harper.“||
Then to Ryan: “Ryan, meet Madison Claire, my… girlfriend.“]
Ryan inmediately put on a perfect first–meeting smile, calling out sweetly: “Hey there.“[
Watching these two perform this insane charade right in front of her, Madison suddenly laughed–laughed until tears streamed down her face.]
Blake and Ryan both felt strangely uncomfortable seeing her unnatural laughter.]
Blake frowned, voice cold: “Since you’re out of jail, learn your lesson. Stay in line and don hurt Harper again.“[]
Just then, a nurse came out of Harper’s room to say something, and both men immediately went inside, not sparing Madison another.

Through the room’s glass door, Madison watched them hovering around Harper’s bed with such care and attention, tears flowing uncontrollably again.[]
