“Sorry, I’m late. I had something to deal with, and it took a few minutes of my time,” Ethan uttered as soon as he got to where they were standing,
He cocked his head towards Olivia and saw her eyes, and unlike a few hours ago, they were red and swollen. It was enough to make him understand that she had cried,
“Is everything alright?” Ethan questioned worriedly, but Bryan responded instead,
“Yeah, she’s fine. I’m sorry to say this Mr, Fordham, but is it possible to postpone the opening till tomorrow? I appreciate your efforts towards the welcoming party, but I think my fiance is tired and she needs some rest. Australia is quite a long journey to begin with,” Bryan uttered,
Even as he held Olivia’s body, he could feel her vibrating in his arms,
“Are you certain she’s alright?“Ethan questioned worriedly as he took steps closer to Olivia whose eyes were already half shut,
“Yes, she’s fine, all she needs is…”
Olivia let out a light groan and suddenly her body weakened even more, making Bryan panic a little as he called her name,
“Hey, babe, are you alright? Hey, what’s wrong?” He questioned, but there was no response from her,
“Get her on my back, hurry,” Ethan uttered as he had already figured out what was wrong,

“Just get her on my back damnit!” He yelled again, and seeing that she was gradually losing consciousness, Bryan carefully held her firm and placed her on his back,
“Where’s her son?”
“He’s in the car, what the hell is going on?” Bryan questioned, but Ethan wasn’t ready to answer that. Truthfully, this was the only thing that could keep him by her side for a few more hours at least, and for the first one, Ethan was grateful he knew one thing about his ex–wife,
“We’ll make use of my car then,” Ethan uttered and began to walk away, heading towards his car and leaving Bryan to stare at him in annoyance,
He gently placed Olivia down from his back and tucked her into the back seat of the car,
“What about Noah? We can’t just leave him there all alone. He’ll get scared.” Bryan yelled just as Ethan ignited the engine,
“You go get him, I’ll be here till you get back. Just hurry so she doesn’t get worse.” Ethan instructed, but Bryan sneered in anger. How could he leave Olivia all alone with Bryan, especially after everything that had happened tonight at the party? Maybe he could even be the reason she was like this, but what happened Noah,
Something really bad would happen to Olivia if she woke up to find out that something had happened to Noah under my watch,
“Stay here, don’t move an inch, I’ll be right back,” Bryan uttered and began to run as fast as he could while Ethan remained still,
He cocked his head to stare at Olivia, her beautiful figure reminding him about their past together and the feeling of guilt began to wash over him as Ethan could recall most of the hurtful things he did to Olivia,

The very moment Olivia opened her eyes, the first sight she beheld was Ethan sitting so close to her,
“Wh…what the hell am I doing here and why am I with you? Ethan, what the freaking hell did you do?” Olivia yelled at

“Get out, I need to leave right now.”
“You need to rest a little, Olivia, else you might end up collapsing again. Does Bryan know what happens to you during this time of the month? It’s just 4 days away from her memorial service and you still get those hurtful traumas all because of me.” Ethan uttered, but Olivia was silent,
When did he know all of this about her?

“I need to leave right now. We can’t both be seen by anyone in a fucking hotel room, Ethan so I need to leave right this minute.” Olivia uttered,

“Take it easy, if you really want to leave that badly then I can take you home, or I’ll call Bryan to come pick you up, Olivia but stop hurting yourself.” Bryan uttered and somehow, his words sounded funny to her, so she chuckled dryly,
“Is something wrong?”
“Did you really just say to stop hurting myself?” Olivia questioned as she let out another dry laughter,
“Ethan Fordham, you have absolutely no right to tell me to stop hurting myself. And yes, you caused all of this. The reason I have this constant condition and trauma is all because of you, and you know why? Before Olivia could complete her statement, Ethan held her hand, leaned closer to her and kissed her, leaving Olivia extremely shocked at what had just happened,

A slap landed across his face even before he could complete his statement and Olivia rubbed her mouth with the back of her palm,
“You must be highly insane if you think I’m one of those sluts of yours who you can kiss just whenever you want to, Ethan.” She yelled at the top of her voice, but Ethan heaved deeply,
“You’re married for hell’s sake so even if you didn’t respect me, I suggest you respect your wife and daughter.” Olivia uttered but only gained a loud scoff from Ethan which only infuriated her even more,
“What the hell is funny to you?” she questioned him angrily,
“Because you know, Olivia.” Ethan answered,
“Know what?”
He bit his lower lips, staring at her small plump red lips again and damn, the urge to claim them again washed over him, but thankfully he was able to put it under control,
“I saw when you stared at Shirley’s fingers, Olivia. I know what you wanted to confirm, and I’m pretty certain that you know Shirley and I aren’t married.” Ethan suddenly broke the news, but that wasn’t it.
It wasn’t just about the fact that she knew, but then what Olivia really wanted was to hear it directly from Ethan,
Indeed, they were really not married and she had to know why.
