After the opening, Olivia, Noah, Bryan, and Ethan all stepped into the hospital. Everything was just as Olivia had expected and it was all
thanks to Bryan,
“When are we going to have the doctor and nurses all moved in?” Olivia questioned as they all walked towards the meeting room,
“I have that under control…”
“I’ll handle that…”
Bryan and Ethan uttered in unison while Olivia cocked her head back to stare at them. They were both behind her, but suddenly halted the very minute she stopped,
“Thank you, Ethan, but I’ll let my fiance handle that for now.”
Without hesitation, Ethan nodded his head, tucking his hand into his pocket, and continued to walk as soon as Olivia continued walking
About an hour later, the meeting was done and without sparing even a minute, Olivia was the first to step out of the ward. All Olivia wanted at the moment was to be someplace far away from Ethan because maybe her heart was starting to soften up around him. She couldn’t. control the emotion trying so hard to break down the wall she had built in her heart for 6 good fucking years.
As soon as the door was shut behind, Olivia instantly headed to the long bench she had kept Noah to wait for her but he wasn’t there.
She fluttered her brows, almost as if trying to process the fact that Noah wasn’t there. The first thought that ravaged Olivia’s mind was that her son couldn’t be far from either her or Bryan. He had to be close because of his illness.
“Noah?” Olivia called out, drawing the attention of Ethan and Bryant instantly,
“Where’s my son? Where the hell is my son?”
Her gaze darted to some of the workers who were around the vicinity,
“Did somebody see a six–year–old anywhere around here?”
No one could give Olivia the answer she wanted, making it seem like Noah had just vanished into thin air. Tears welled up in Olivia’s eyes as her heart began to ache,
“My son. Where’s my precious baby.” She yelled, running towards the exit, but still couldn’t find Noah,
“Olivia, hey, look at me. Noah’s alright, he’s going to be alright. I’ll find him as soon as I can.” As Olivia cocked her head backward and felt a strong hand on her arm, she also heard Ethan’s voice, and the tears that had been at the base of her lashes streamed down her eyes,
“He can’t be away from anyone for so long. He shouldn’t Ethan, please. I need my baby.” She muttered, but heard Bryan’s voice,
“Baby. Where’s Noah? Did you see him?”
She shook her head in negation and Bryan/arched his eyebrows in confusion, “He can’t be alone for too long, Bryan. What if he gets hurt? What if he’s scared all by himself without a familiar face?”
As Bryan’s gaze darted his gaze to Ethan’s hold on Olivia’s arms, he took a step closer and held her second arm, forcing Olivia to release Ethan’s hold on hold on her arm,
Without uttering another word, Bryan gently planted a soft kiss on Olivia’s forehead to keep her calm, “I’ll find him, I promise. He’s going to be alright because he’s a strong young lad.”

At least this was able to keep her calm. As soon as Bryan walked away, Olivia took a deep breath in only to suddenly realize that Ethan wasn’t in front of her anymore. He had walked away, but she had no idea where,
“Luke, contact the police station and as many inspectors as you can. We need to find a missing boy of six years old….” Ethan paused on the phone as he stepped out of the hospital. He had seen Noah so he could certainly describe some of his features,
“Brown hair, sea blue eyes, and about 4 feet tall. I’ll send you photos as soon as I can.” He uttered,
As soon as Ethan got outside the hospital, he found a cab and stopped it.
“Step out of the car; I’ll pay double what it cost.” He uttered, but the cab driver only stared at him in disbelief as his eyes scanned Ethan’s clothes. When Ethan realized that the man might not believe the fact that he was wealthy, he tucked his hand into his suit pocket and brought out a card,
“See for yourself.”
As soon as the man collected the card and scanned it, he widened his eyes in shock, “I’m sorry sir, here you go.” He uttered and stepped out
of the car immediately,
“My secretary will contact you as soon as possible,” Ethan uttered as he stepped into the car and shut the door. At this point, he was desperate to look for Noah
Not because he wanted to impress Olivia, but because he was extremely worried about the young lad. Noah might not be his son just like he thought, but Olivia was worried and she had even cried because of him,
In the past, it was never his business if she cried or if she was in pain because of something but right now, he cared so much about the pain she was feeling right now because of Noah. Ethan had hated seeing her that way
It took him so long to realize it, but she was someone he didn’t want to see in pain,
Ethan ignited the engine and drove the car,
While driving, he poked his head out of the window now and then just in case Noah would be anywhere around the vicinity,
“Noah!” Ethan yelled out loud.
The path was a little bushy with just a single road, and Ethan had no idea where it would lead to.
“What on earth would he be looking around here?” Ethan questioned himself, and made to turn the car around so he could go look some other place when he heard a loud cry,
“I want my daddy!”
He didn’t need anyone to tell him it was certainly Noah’s voice. He had only heard the little boy speak a few hours ago, and he could recognize his voice that easily. It was hard forgetting the voice of such a smart child.
As fast as Ethan had ever been, he halted the car and rushed out of it. Following the sound of the voice he had heard, Ethan ran as fast as he could until he got to the other side of the road.
Noah was seated there, on the floor with tears streaming down his face, and not only that, he was hurt.
Ethan felt his heart thump a bit and without realizing it, he yelled, “Noah.” Making the young lad raise his gaze in his direction, he heard Ethan’s voice immediately.
