Olivia had decided to confront Ethan about his attitude towards her for the past week
It was like a whirlwind, and it was beginning to swallow her up. One moment, he was showering her with adoration and claims of love, and now he wa fully ignoring her.
As she pulled up in the garage, carrying her bag from the front seat, she locked the car
The kids were already back; she was so excited to see them; maybe she would spend more time with them here before going back home.
The door access system scanned her eyes, but it rejected her. She shook her head in confusion and put in her fingerprints, but the red light was
unmistakable
Why had Ethan changed the access system? He had insisted that she have unlimited access to see the kids whenever she wanted.
Olivia rang the doorbell, waiting for the door to be opened. After a while, the door was opened by the nanny
Olivia smiled at her
“Nanny, how are the kids?” she asked
“They are fine, they are in the sitting room with Ms Shirley.”
“What?” Olivia questioned, fury filling her
“What do you mean they are in the sitting room with Shirley? What the hell is Shirley doing here?”
“Ma’am, I think you need to talk with the master. She came here with all her things.”
“When you’re done divulging my information, you should pack your things and leave the house.” Came Shirley’s voice from behind
“What do you mean? You do not have the right to fire the nanny. ” Olivia said, challenging Shirley, her eyes steeled
“And who said so? I am the lady of this house; anything I say stands.” Shirley retorted
“What nonsense are you speaking ofis Ethan? I need to talk to him.” Olivia asked, pushing past Shirley, and finding her way to the living room,
“Are you that ignorant?”
“What?” She tilted her head back to Shirley,
“Obviously, Ethan knows you are here, but it is obvious you’re not welcome here; I mean, you should have realized that from the moment you could not gain access to the house.”
“Mummy“, “Miss Olivia,” Eva, and Noah chorused and ran to hug her with smiles on their faces. Seeing both of her precious babies, she squatted to their
height,
“My babies, how are you doing?”
“Fine, but why is the horrid woman here? She wants to take Eva.” Noah asked.
“Now, don’t say that, okay? I’m going to speak with Daddy, just follow the nanny up to your room, okay?” She corrected but before she could finish her statement, Shirley grabbed Eva by her hand away from her,
“Stay away from my daughter.” She screeched, but instead, Eva burst into tears, kicking and screaming for Olivia. In turn, Noah ran to Shirley and began
to hit her.

Suddenly, a heavy slap landed across Noah’s cheek, sending him sprawling to the ground, and in shock, Olivia ran to Noah and picked him up h
“Are you okay baby? Are you okay?” She whispered on and on, hugging her son to her chest and when Noah nodded sullenly, her gaze darted fanoudly a Shirley first, then to the Nanny,
“Nanny, take Noah upstairs now!”
With a quick nod, the nanny held Noah’s hand, taking him up the stairs, leaving Olivia who was fuming at the ears, and Shirley, who still held Eva with a
smile on her face
In a stride, Olivia walked to Shirley and slapped her, not once but twice. Shirley, in shock, released her grip on Eva, and Eva scrambled upstairs after Her
brother.
“How dare you?” Shirley yelled, but received a light scoff in return,
“No, how dare you lay your filthy hands on Noah, Eva might be your daughter and I may have no rights to interfere with her but Noah is my son and I will fucking kill you if you ever try to touch him again”
Shirley, in a fit of rage, raised her hand, reaching for Olivia’s face, but with a swift move, Olivia held her hand midair, Blocking whatever form of violence,
“I’m not that weak, Olivia you used to bully when we were kids, Shirley. You do not know the wrath of a mother, but the next time you hurt my son, I will make sure I rain that wrath down on
you.”
“Olivia! Let her go now.” Ethan’s voice came from behind Olivia.
Suddenly, a loud cry was heard from Shirley as Olivia watched the instant change of emotion. She wasn’t surprised because it had always been this way even when they were kids.
“I’m so sorry, it was a mistake, I just moved here to be close to my daughter,” Shirley said in tears, and instead, Olivia let out an unbelievable scoff. It wasn’t that the action surprised her, but Shirley’s words.
“Olivia, to my study, now!” Ethan commanded and immediately stalked off. Immediately Ethan walked away, Shirley smiled cunningly at Olivia, wiping away her tears with her index finger,
“I guess we will see who has the right in this house,” Shirley murmured under her breath with a grin on her face. With one last glare, Olivia stalked off, heading for Ethan’s study room and when she got in, she slammed the door shut.
“What the hell is wrong with you, Ethan? How could you let her back into this house?”
“Eva is still her daughter, you know that.”
“Oh my God, she does not even love her, you said so yourself. She needs to leave. ” Olivia exclaimed in anger, clenching her fist as a means of keeping her anger in check,
“She is still my wife and the mother of my daughter. “Ethan said with a stoic expression on his face
“What?!” Olivia gasped in surprise
“You don’t have any right to burst in here and assault her in her own home.”
“You must be joking, she tried to hurt….” Olivia started, but was cut off before she could finish,
“From what I saw, you were the one doing the hurting.” Hearing this, she let out a loud scoff, her nails gradually digging deeper into the flesh of her palm. No matter what, she had to refrain from tears.
“Is this why you have been ignoring me? you had sex with me after all your claims of love and getting back together, and you went back to your ex–wife. So classic, I guess I was wrong, Ethan. You haven’t changed, even one bit.” she uttered bitterly, her eyes pinned on Ethan

“It might have been a contractual marriage for the sake of Eva in the past, but the divorce hasn’t been finalized, and that night.
“Yes, that night?”
“It was a mistake, one that would never happen again.”
Tears threatened to fall from Olivia’s eyes at that statement. She steeled her face in anger. “You are a horrible person. For the second time in my life, 1 regret knowing you.”
Those words hit Ethan in a way he had not realized that they would; he could see the tears in her eyes, but he could not comfort her when he was the source of those tears.
“You should probably leave,” Ethan mumbled
“I’m going to do that, and I’m taking Noah along with me.” She stated
“Noah is my son.”
“And I’m his mother. If you fight me on this, I will ensure that you never see him ever in your life again. I will not let my son live with that woman in this house. I can’t do anything concerning Eva, but no one will hurt my son.” Olivia said and stalked out of the house
“Nanny!” she called out as soon as she got to the living room, and continued, “Bring Noah, we are leaving.”
“Mummy, but Eva!” Noah cried along with Eva, who was also crying and screaming to go along with them
“You will have to see her some other time baby, okay. Come on, let’s go.” Olivia said as she grabbed her son, sending one last look to Shirley and Ethan before walking out of the damn house.
