Megan was sitting in her waiting room backstage. Persevering through the discomfort she felt, she calmly watched Alyssa as she gave her speech. She wondered what Howard liked about Alyssa. Was it her behavior? Or was it because the way she acted reminded him of himself when he was younger?
Sometimes, a person would grow sympathetic toward another person if the latter reminded them of themselves when they were weak and vulnerable. Sometimes, the care and love they felt wasn’t actually
aimed at the other person, but at their past selves.
Furthermore, a man’s sympathy often got mixed up with his love.
“The song that I’ll be performing is called ‘Micro Love‘. It’s a song that describes my recent emotional journey. I hope that it will give the people who are suffering like me the willpower to keep on living.”
The stage darkened after Alyssa bowed deeply.
Megan arched an eyebrow when she heard the song’s name. She had originally named the song “Little Light“, not “Micro Love“. The song was supposed to be about looking back at the past before looking forward to the future–at the faint light when dawn broke on the horizon.
However, Alyssa did have the right to change the name of the song. The contract had stated that she was allowed to do that. What Megan wanted to know was if Quinn and Ferrell Entertainment would be credited when the song was uploaded to the music platforms.
The backstage of “Celestial Voice” was separated into two sections. One section was a huge hall that could fit many people, creating a space for the contestants and guests to mingle with each other if they wanted to. The other section consisted of personal waiting rooms for all the contestants and guests.
Since not many people had time to watch the entire live broadcast, the staff members had to edit highlights before uploading them to the different platforms. As such, they needed reactions from the contestants or guests to include in the compiled version.
It was why there were recording devices and televisions that showed the live broadcast installed in both the hall and the waiting rooms. Not every part of these recordings would be included in the compiled version. The staff members would edit the parts they needed as they saw fit.
The staff members did not install any of these devices in the dressing rooms, so one would only have a recording if they filmed themselves.
Megan was in her waiting room at that moment with Jessie seated next to her. A large screen that showed the live broadcast had been installed on the wall, and it was currently broadcasting Alyssa’s
performance.
Countless comments were flashing by on one side of the screen.
“Oh my God. She sounds so good. The song already sounded amazing when the first few notes played. I I can’t believe how it got even better as it progressed.”

“I’m about to cry. The 25 seconds that were leaked online a few days ago already moved me to tears. I definitely won’t be able to stop myself from crying now.”
“I feel so sad, but I don’t know which boyfriend to think about.”
“Can you give me one of your boyfriends?”
“I want one of your boyfriends too!”
“I want two of them!”
“So many people used those 25 seconds as the background music for their videos in the past few days. I thought I would be sick of it by now. I can’t believe that I still cried after listening to it again.”
“Are you watching the live broadcast, Megan? Shouldn’t you be a little smarter and leave of your own accord?”
“As the saying goes, 25 years of Megan’s life can’t even compare to 25 seconds of Alyssa’s life.”
As the netizens discussed among themselves, Megan grabbed her phone and tapped one of the music applications.
According to Alyssa, “Micro Love” was going to be uploaded to different music platforms at the same time. Megan wouldn’t have to search too hard to find out if they were credited for the song. In fact, she didn’t have to search at all.
The moment she tapped into the application, an advertisement popped up on her screen, showing a
photo of Alyssa while the song played in the background. Megan tapped on the advertisement and looked at the details of the song.
