Chapter 57
At the same time, Selena arrived at the company where Helen worked. Because she hadn’t picked up, she
headed upstairs to seek Helen out.
When Helen saw Selena, she was taken aback.
“Selena, why have you come here?” Helen walked out.
“Helen, I’ve got a favor to ask from you.”
Selena eyed the people inside before dragging Helen out.
“What’s going on? Why all the mystery?”
Firstly, Selena asked, “Why didn’t you reply to my text?”
“Actually, that was so annoying. Everyone who was part of the production team of ‘Celestial Voice‘ had our phones confiscated yesterday.”
“Why?” Selena had a bad feeling about this.
“Yesterday Revisited” had been edited, and now, the confiscation happened to the production team of ” Celestial Voice“.
“I’m not sure, really. They haven’t given us our phones back. I had to borrow someone’s phone to call my mom and tell her I was fine.
“I’m sorry. The company painted it as a serious issue. When I passed by the meeting room in the afternoon, I heard people talking about making an NDA.”
Upon observing Selena’s disturbed expression, Helen held Selena’s hand concernedly. “What’s wrong? Tell me about it, and I’ll see whether I can help you.”
Inside the hospital room, Megan wrinkled her nose.
“If it smells so good! Go on, put it on my little table.” As she spoke, she unfolded her table and patted it, turning to Shaun.
He cocked an eyebrow.
Wow, great!
Megan pretended to be a harmless little bunny, but when they were alone, she had one hell of a sharp tongue.
That being said, she was exactly Shaun’s type. If not for the fact that she liked Howard, he would’ve pursued her.

At that thought, he sat down and put the food onto her table. Slowly, he took each lunchbox out and arranged them neatly.
“Your lunch’s ready, Megan. Time to eat.” Shaun waved his hand and indicated for her to eat.
He was treating her like a kindergartner.
Megan didn’t care. She picked up her utensils and dug in.
The food today was good. It was comparable to the chicken soup Selena had bought her.
Megan asked, “Where was this from? I want to know which shop.”
Shaun just smiled. “Do you like it?”
“Yeah.” Megan nodded.
“The next time you crave it, tell me, and I’ll buy it for you,” replied Shaun.
“Megan choked on her food, so much so that she knocked into the plates on the table. Soup splashed
onto her clothes.
Shaun patted her back and handed her a napkin.
“It was just a joke, and here you are, choking.” Shaun didn’t know what else to say.
After calming down, Megan wiped herself down, saying, “Stop it, Shaun. I wouldn’t have dared to eat the food you brought if not for the fact that Selena’s out.”
Shaun rapped on her forehead with a finger. “You’re making me sad by speaking like that.”
Megan couldn’t say anything in response. She only shot him a resigned glance.
As she had spilled quite a bit of soup, she headed to the toilet to change.
Shaun reached out to help her. Megan pushed him away twice, but when she failed, she just allowed him to do what she wanted.
