Dominic’s face darkened instantly.
Before he could speak, Bella exploded beside him, screaming insults to me.
“Audrey White, you shameless bitch!”
“Haven’t you had enough? Got beaten like that and you still have the nerve to seduce my Dominic?”
Her words gave the crowd a direction, and they quickly chimed in.
“That’s right! Know your place! Bella is now Dominic’s officially announced future mate!”
“Surprise? More like shock! Do you think these pitiful stunts will win Dominic’s sympathy? Disgusting!”
“Dominic, don’t waste your time on her! She’s like a leech that just won’t let go!”
“Exactly, Dominic! Even talking to her gives her too much credit!”
Everyone trampled on me with words while praising them.
I ignored the noise and kept my eyes fixed on Dominic.
I asked him softly, “They’re all saying I’m a homewrecker trying to seduce you.”
“What do you say, Dominic?”
He stayed silent. Those brown eyes I once adored held no expression now, just a still, quiet stare.
That silence was the clearest answer.
Seeing his expression, Bella’s jealousy swelled even more. She tore her arm free and swung her hand at my face.
“Bitch! How dare you talk to Dominic like that! I’ll beat you to death!”
Her palm cut fiercely through the air.
I was about to dodge, but someone was faster. Dominic caught Bella’s wrist and stopped her.
A stunned silence fell over the hall.
Bella stared at him in disbelief, her voice trembling.
“Dominic? Why… why did you stop me?”

“Really? What does Dominic mean by this?”
“Does he actually like Audrey? Otherwise, why stop Bella?”
“I knew something was off about Audrey. She’s skilled at seducing guys.”
“Did she actually manage to capture Dominic’s heart?”
Amid the chaos, Dominic finally spoke. His tone was flat, even condescending.
“Audrey, since you’ve already seen it, I won’t pretend anymore.”
“In my position, nobody can claim a spotless record.”
“You’ve been with me for seven years. and you need me to spell it out for you?”

The colleagues fell silent at his words, then broke out in even fiercer discussions.
“Wait, what? Did I hear wrong? Audrey is Dominic’s future mate?”
“No way! Didn’t Dominic and Bella just go public? What’s going on?”
“How could Dominic have two fiancées? What kind of twist is this?”
“So we’ve been attacking the real one all along?”
Bella was completely stunned. She yanked her hand free from Dominic and jabbed a finger at my face.
“Dominic, is this some kind of joke?”
