Chapter 294
Chapter 294
It was like he honestly believed he could see through everyone and everything, and then just decide what was right or wrong
for them.
Back then, Emily hadn’t thought much of it. She’d even felt proud to have such an impressive big brother. But now, she just felt sick to her stomach, utterly repulsed.
Emily didn’t bother hiding the look of disgust on her face. She was just about to say something when someone nearby suddenly gagged, loud and dramatic.
She turned to see Austin holding up his phone with one hand, the other clapped over his mouth, looking like he was about to puke.
When he saw both of them looking his way, Austin gave Andrew a huge, exaggerated eye roll.
Austin mocked, “You just open your mouth and demand Emily’s shares, acting like you’re doing them some huge favor. Why don’t you hand over your shares to me, huh? Let me return the favor for once.
“Honestly, you should stop pretending to be the CEO of Bennett Group and go mix cement on a construction site. I have never seen anyone more shameless than you.”
Austin practically spat out his status as the CEO of Bennett Group, like he was trying to make a point.
Austin never used any swear words when he insulted someone, but every single word he said hit like a punch to the gut.
Andrew had never been humiliated like this in his life, and yet every single time, it was Austin who managed to make him lose face.
“You-” Andrew scowled, pointing at Austin in fury, about to snap back, when his eyes suddenly caught sight of the phone Austin was still holding up.
“What are you doing?” Andrew suddenly had a bad feeling in his gut. As he spoke, he immediately lunged for Austin’s phone.
But Austin was already on guard. He dodged to the side and hid behind Emily in a flash.
“Emily, look at this. He’s actually trying to fight me. Is this what passes for CEO behavior at Bennett Group?”
Austin put on his best pitiful act, but he didn’t forget to throw Andrew’s title back in his face for good measure.
Andrew had no clue what Austin was up to with his phone, but Emily could see right through him.
She might’ve been totally out of touch with the world during her two years at St. Gabriel Reform Academy, but ever since she got back, Austin had shown her all sorts of things, like how to do livestreams.
And right now, that was exactly what Austin was doing, streaming everything live on his phone.
Emily shot a surprised look at Austin, who was half-hiding behind her with that pitiful face.
He clearly knew just how jaw-dropping his stunt was, and he waggled his eyebrows at her, looking all smug like he was waiting for her to give him a gold star.
Emily couldn’t help but let out a soft laugh, and all the bad vibes Andrew had brought with him just melted away.
Without saying a word, she quietly pulled out her phone and spent a fortune sending a massive gift to boost Austin’s
livestream.

Chapter 294
Andrew had no idea what they were up to. He just watched as the two of them fiddled with their phones, and couldn’t shake the bad feeling creeping up inside.
And sure enough, that feeling was quickly proven right.
Just as Andrew was about to go off on Austin, his secretary suddenly called him. “Mr. Bennett, something’s wrong.
“Everything that just happened has been livestreamed online, and now the internet’s going crazy. The PR team doesn’t even know how to respond yet.”
Andrew’s face went pale. As the CEO, he knew all too well how powerful the internet had become in recent years. If what had just happened had been broadcast live-
He didn’t have time to think. He quickly pulled out his phone to check, and the moment he saw what was happening, he froze in place, like the world had just ended.
Barely any time had passed, and the internet was already blowing up with trending topics with hashtags like: [CEO personally grabs shares-Is Bennett Group about to go under?]
[Latest Overbearing CEO Quote. Taking your shares is me doing you a favor.]
[Charles just passed away, and the Bennett Family is already here to seize power. They are shameless.]
Turns out there’s a whole new way to call someone shameless.]
