Chapter 335
As soon as he stepped out, he immediately pulled out his phone and dialed a number. “Keep looking into St. Gabriel Reform Academy. Even if I have to risk everything, I want that place gone for good!”
The person on the other end was clearly shocked. He kept silent for a long while before stammering, “A-Are you crazy? You spent so long planning this and even used yourself as bait. You almost got yourself killed!
“Now that you’ve finally got them right where you want them, why are you messing with St. Gabriel Reform Academy? Did they do something to you?”
“Yeah, they did,” Austin answered without a second thought. “St. Gabriel Reform Academy needs to be erased. For good!”
That person went quiet again. After a long moment, he finally asked, “Is this all because of that friend?”
Austin stayed silent, but that silence said it all.
The person on the other end clearly knew Austin’s temperament and let out a soft sigh. “Austin, you’ve already been burned by trusting people too easily, haven’t you?”
Austin’s grip on his phone tightened, and his thin lips pressed into a firm line. He really had been burned by that before,
even more than once.
But when one had lived in darkness for too long, one just couldn’t help but reach for every bit of light one found.
And he could feel that Emily was different from all the others. She was someone who’d been abandoned over and over, yet there was still a bit of genuine innocence left in her heart.
She was just like him-so long as the other person held on, she’d never be the first to let go. That was why he put his faith in Emily.
“Just do what I said. I’ve got my own plan,” Austin said. With that, he hung up the phone.

Emily’s illness kept coming and going for almost half a month before she finally recovered. During that time, she stayed home, resting and painting, but she kept a close eye on what was going on outside.
So when Andrew reached out to her, she already knew exactly what he wanted. When Jeremy agreed to help the Bennett Family through their crisis, it definitely wasn’t out of pure kindness-he had his own motives.
Once things settled down for the Bennett Family, the very first thing he asked for was the shares Emily had in her hands.
Andrew, as the CEO of Bennett Group, only held 20% of the shares himself. Since Jeremy was an outsider, there was no way he could just walk away with all of Emily’s shares.
So, he played it smart and only asked for 3%. Three percent might not sound like a lot, but for a giant like Bennett Group, that was still a hefty sum. Just handing it over like that would be a pretty lousy deal.
But if those 3% came from Emily, and it meant the Bennett Family could get in with the Windrose family, Andrew thought it was totally worth it.
So, without even talking it over with Emily, he just agreed. Before even setting up a meeting with her, he already had the contract printed and ready to go.
Andrew thought, ‘I guess Emily refused to hand over her shares before just because she was jealous of Lydia. Now, she’ll be giving them up for the company, and it’s even 2% less than last time. If she had any sense, she wouldn’t refuse again.

Chapter 335
Andrew was so sure of himself, and he was already gearing up to lecture Emily, planning to teach her a lesson about not being so selfish. But he never expected that he wouldn’t even get a chance to see Emily in person.
Instead, word from the company was that Emily was calling for an extraordinary general meeting.
By the rules, any shareholder holding 10% or more of the company’s shares had the right to call such a meeting. But Emily had never been involved with the company before, and she didn’t have any allies on the inside.
Her suddenly calling a shareholders’ meeting-no matter what she was up to-just seemed like she was making trouble for
no reason.
