Chapter 368

Therefore, her friendship with May was just destined to fade away.

Emily could understand all this, but it didn’t mean she could let go so easily.

All she could do was keep herself busy. She hoped it would stop her from thinking about it so much.

Maybe it was fate’s way of keeping her busy, because a couple of days later, Austin showed her a few photos.

The photos were screenshots of Lydia’s Facebook posts, all showing her practice drawings.

Emily knew it wasn’t strange for Lydia to brag about her art, but she felt the stuff Lydia posted looked oddly familiar.

Emily leaned in for a closer look and found those were the exact drawings she had posted online herself.

Seeing her reaction, Austin pulled out one of the photos and said, “Take a look at this one.”

The Facebook post was another one of Lydia showing off her art, but the difference was in the comments section.

Someone had commented: [These look just like the work of that famous artist, Tato. Lydia, don’t tell me that’s you.]

Lydia replied: [I don’t like showing my face online, but everyone in the list is my friend, so I didn’t try to hide it. I hope you guys can keep it a secret for me.]

Emily was left dumbfounded. She thought, ‘Lydia is Tato? That’s ridiculous.’

For a moment, she didn’t know if she should laugh or be furious.

Back in college, Lydia had copied Emily’s artwork and even framed Emily for plagiarism, turning Emily into a total pariah on campus and trashing her name in the art world.

Now, Lydia was pulling the same stunt on Emily all over again.

At that moment, Emily suddenly realized why Lydia had been eyeing her phone so much lately.

Most likely, Lydia had known long ago that Emily was Tato. Lydia wanted her phone because she wanted to steal the Tato

account.

After all, Tato had never shown her face online. In everyone’s eyes, whoever had the account was Tato.

But Lydia didn’t know that the Tato account was never on Emily’s phone. It was in Austin’s hands all along.

It was Austin who handled all the stuff, including managing the account, editing videos, and posting content, so Emily simply handed the account over to him for convenience.

Emily wasn’t stupid. She thought of the invitation she never got back and how Lydia had been going around bragging about being chosen by Amy. She instantly figured out when Lydia had realized she was Tato.

Sensing Emily’s anger, Austin spoke up at just the right time. “Emily, what are you going to do about it?”

Emily paused to think and then said, “She’s showing off on Facebook because she knows I don’t have her contact. She thinks I’ll never find it out. In that case, I’ll pretend I don’t know anything and let her get even bolder.”

Emily thought, ‘The bolder she goes, the greater she’ll fall.’

Seeing the sparkle in her eyes, Austin gave her a knowing look. “I knew you’d come up with something like that, Emily.”

He sifted through the pile of photos and pulled one out. “Check this out.”

In the comments of this post on Facebook, someone was asking Lydia when her next update would be.

Emily had been so busy recently that she hadn’t updated her Tato account for a long time. She got plenty of direct messages from fans begging for updates, but she never expected that her fans would hang out on Lydia’s Facebook, too.

Lydia wasn’t the real Tato, after all. She had no clue when the next update would drop or what it would be, so of course, she just ignored the question.

Nevertheless, Emily was going to make sure Lydia got a front-row seat to the next update.
