Chapter 385
Even after coming back from the office, Andrew was still holed up in his study, busy with work. His brows had been tightly knit ever since he stepped into the study, so nobody wanted to risk upsetting him right now.
Lydia was the only exception in this family, and she knew it well. So while everyone else kept their distance, she simply walked in with a glass of milk in her hand.
Sensing someone there, Andrew snarled without even looking up, “Get out.”
Lydia’s smile froze on her face. She stood at the doorway, staring at Andrew, her eyes instantly turning red.
Only then did Andrew look up and see Lydia. Though his anger hadn’t completely faded, his tone softened as he asked, “Lydia, why didn’t you knock before coming in?”
Lydia pouted, looking aggrieved. She said, “I noticed you haven’t been sleeping well lately, so I just wanted to bring you some milk. I didn’t think I’d upset you.”
After all, Lydia was the sister Andrew cared about the most. He let out a heavy sigh, forcing down his frustration. He said softly, “I’m not mad at you.” For a moment, he didn’t know what else to say.
After a brief silence, he snapped the file shut and said, “Bring the milk here.”
Lydia immediately broke into a smile through her tears, happily handing him the milk and watching as he drank it down.
Andrew finished the milk in a hurry, like he was just ticking off another chore. When he was done, he handed the glass back to Lydia, making it pretty clear he wanted her to leave.
But Lydia acted like she didn’t get the hint. She just stood there holding the glass, looking like she had something to say but couldn’t quite get the words out.
Andrew frowned and asked, “Is there something you want to say?”
Lydia hesitated for a moment before finally saying, “I know you’ve been worried about getting dragged into the Sinclair family’s mess lately, so I went to the hospital to see Sean, hoping I could help ease your worries.
“But when I saw Sean, I realized all of this is because of Emily.”
Andrew echoed, “Emily?”
Lydia nodded and continued, “Sean and Emily have never really gotten along. This time, Sean was holding a grudge and just wanted to scare her a little to vent his anger, but he never expected Emily would turn the tables and frame him instead.”
Andrew couldn’t hide his shock. After everything blew up, he’d been so focused on getting the Bennett family out of the mess that he hadn’t looked into the details-and had no idea Emily was involved at all.
He asked, “What exactly happened?”
Even though he was asking, the look of annoyance and disgust on his face made it obvious he’d already decided Emily was to blame-and was probably already thinking about how to deal with her.
Lydia had been waiting for this. She immediately said, “Emily called the cops on purpose, claiming Sean was going to hurt her, but in reality, she had her people beat Sean so badly he ended up in the hospital.
“God knows how Emily managed to buy off Sean’s bodyguard, and she even set up evidence ahead of time to frame him. That’s why Sean got arrested.”

Chapter 385
Andrew hadn’t expected the truth to be like this. He slammed his hand on the table angrily and snapped, “This is outrageous.”
Lydia instinctively shrank back, as if startled by his outburst. She stammered, “Don’t be mad, Andrew. Maybe this is all just a misunderstanding.”
Andrew sneered, “Sean told you all this himself. What misunderstanding could there possibly be?”
Lydia put on a troubled face, like she wanted to explain but just couldn’t find the words, but inside, she was secretly thrilled.
