Chapter 317
Amy’s birthday bash was a big deal. The place was packed with industry heavyweights, and quite a few people even flew in from out of town just for the party.
But the whole thing felt off. Amy was known for being low-key and elegant, so this flashy party didn’t really fit her style. Some people were even whispering that it might be a scam using her name.
But then someone cleared things up. The person said, “This party’s Amy’s niece’s idea. She’s throwing it to welcome Amy back and help her settle in.”
Another said, “It’s Amy’s first public appearance in the country, so of course it has to be lively. Anything less just wouldn’t do her justice.”
Someone else said, “I heard Amy only agreed to let her niece throw this party because she’s looking for someone.”
One said, “Looking for someone? Why would Amy need to go to all this trouble just to find someone? Who could she possibly be looking for?”
Before the party even kicked off, a group of people were already huddled together, gossiping in hushed tones. Among them was a familiar face: Lydia.
With the Bennett Family behind her, Lydia had already made a name for herself in the industry back in college.
In a room full of industry insiders like this, she was a natural magnet for attention, and it was no surprise that plenty of people gathered around her.
And as it turned out, the ones gossiping about who Amy was searching for were the very people standing around Lydia.
Just as everyone was looking confused, a girl holding a small piece of cake suddenly chimed in, “Actually, I think I know who Amy is looking for.”
Everyone immediately turned to look at her.
There she was-a girl with a round, adorable face, holding her cake, her eyes shining brightly as she looked at them.
Noticing all eyes were on her, the girl stuffed the last bite of cake into her mouth, swallowed it quickly, and grabbed a clean wet wipe from the table to dab at her lips.
Her actions weren’t exactly proper-maybe even a little cheeky-but in a room where everyone was dressed to impress, her casualness stood out.
Quite a few people wrinkled their noses in distaste, but since she’d just dropped that bombshell, no one dared to say anything.
Once the girl finished wiping her mouth, she continued, “I heard Amy is looking for someone who goes by the online name Tato, who is talented at painting.
“Their style is bold, but also kind of contradictory. My au-well, I guess Amy just really appreciates talent, and she thinks highly of this person.
“Amy doesn’t actually know who this person is, or even their real name. All she knows is that they’re from Cloudridge and that it’s a girl.”
The girl knew way more than anyone else here, but the details she gave were so vague that even if one wanted to find Tato,
one wouldn’t even know where to start.
Everyone unconsciously started discussing based on the girl’s clues, but Lydia, who had stayed silent the whole time, seemed deep in thought as she watched the girl closely.

Chapter 317
Suddenly, Lydia asked, “Where did you hear all this?”
Lydia’s question made everyone else realize, too, and they quickly turned to the girl. One of them chimed in, “Yeah, how do you know all this?”
The girl blinked, looking sincere. She said, “Amy’s niece told me all this herself. What good would it do me to lie to you?”
Everyone thought her explanation made sense, but they were still curious. One of them asked, “So why are you telling us all
this?”
