Chapter 318

The girl replied, “Honestly, I’m just curious. There are so many of you here, and you’re all women, so I was wondering if Tato might be among you. If I help find her, maybe I’ll get a little recognition from Amy myself.”

Everyone was speechless. They grumbled inwardly, ‘Who is this girl, anyway? To say something so flattering out loud without a hint of shame-whose heiress is she? Doesn’t she feel even a little embarrassed?’

Everyone looked down on the girl in their hearts, but no one said a word-because honestly, if they were in her position, they’d probably think the same way. After all, in this industry, everyone wanted to get in good with Amy.

Lydia had barely said a word the whole time, but honestly, she was thinking the same thing. But her thoughts didn’t stop

there.

She thought, To be personally praised by Amy means that Tato is already league ahead of most people in the industry right from the start. And yet, Amy has never even met Tato-she doesn’t even know her real name!’

Lydia glanced at the girl and asked, “That person you mentioned-Tato-has she never posted a photo or video showing her face on her own profile?”

The girl nodded eagerly, her eyes shining as she looked at Lydia. She asked, “How did you figure that out?”

Lydia pressed her lips together in a small smile, looking a bit sheepish. She said, “Just a guess. I mean, when I record videos myself, I don’t like showing my face either.”

The girl looked surprised. She asked, “You make videos online, too? What kind of stuff do you post?”

Lydia pretended not to understand the real meaning behind her question and replied with genuine sincerity, “I like painting. Sometimes, when the mood strikes, I’ll post my paintings online.”

She had never actually seen Tato’s account, but she figured that since Amy had taken notice, it must be because of the painting. Her ambiguous answer was just right for the situation.

Sure enough, as soon as she said that, someone nearby immediately asked, “Wait, don’t tell me you’re Tato?”

There were quite a few people there who knew Lydia well, and one of them suddenly had a realization. The person said, “Lydia, I heard from some classmates that after you graduated, you started posting online. Is this what you’ve been doing all along?”

Another chimed in, “It has to be you. Lydia, you’re incredible. You just graduated not long ago, and you casually made an account online that caught Amy’s attention.”

Someone else said, “I always knew Lydia was something special. Remember that graduation painting she did? The school’s collection snatched it up before it was even officially finished.”

One said, “Lydia never placed lower than third in any competition she entered back in school. With talent like that, no wonder Amy noticed her.”

The crowd that had already gathered around Lydia closed in even tighter, showering her with compliments and praise.

Lydia looked a little embarrassed. She said, “It’s nothing. I just mess around with painting for fun. I’ve always seen Amy as my idol, so for her to notice my work is honestly such an honor.

“I only started making content online because I thought it was fun, and I never put my face out there, so I never thought anyone would actually recognize me. You guys are making me feel so shy with all these compliments.”

Lydia never actually said she was Tato, but everything she said made it sound like she was.

The crowd around her grew even more hyped, each one hoping to use this chance to get noticed by Amy through Lydia.

They got so caught up in it that the girl who first dropped the clues and tried to edge closer to Lydia ended up getting squeezed right out of the circle.

The girl wasn’t upset at all. Instead, her eyes lit up with surprise and delight as she looked at Lydia. She thought, ‘I’m incredibly lucky. I found Tato so quickly. I have to let Amy know the good news right away!
