Chapter 363
Emily took Isolde to the cemetery.
Emily pointed at a blank tombstone and said, “This is for Deborah. She left nothing behind, so her grave was empty.
“I was planning to wait until I found you and carried out Deborah’s final wishes before inscribing her name on the stone. But now, it feels right for you to be the one to do it.”
After all, Isolde was Deborah’s only family left.
Isolde stared at the blank tombstone, and her fists tightened involuntarily. “How could there be nothing left?”
She wondered, ‘When someone dies, there should at least be something left, even if it’s just ashes. How could there be nothing at all?’
Emily glanced at the other tombstones and replied, “It’s not just her. All the tombstones here are blank.
“Before they died, they entrusted me with their last wishes that only after I fulfill them will I engrave their names on the tombstones. That’s how I give them closure.”
Emily turned to Isolde and said, “Do you know what Deborah told me before she passed away?”
Isolde stared straight at her, waiting for her to go on.
Emily said, “She wanted me to find her younger sister, Isolde, and tell you she was sorry that she couldn’t go climb Erron Snow Mountain with you.
“She opened a bank card in your name and saved all the money she earned over the years in it. The card is hidden in the ceiling of the kitchen at home, and the password is your birthday.
“She said she never regretted taking you in from the snow, but she did regret bringing you into the bodyguard world, making you live every day on edge.”
Emily continued slowly and firmly, “She said that with your temperament, you would probably rush into getting revenge for her, but that’s not what she wanted for you.
“She wanted me to look after you for her, to see you get married, have kids, have a family of your own, and live a safe and happy life.”
Isolde’s face was still tense, but tears streamed down her cheeks. Her usually cold face now exposed all her vulnerability.
All those years of longing, worry, and hidden weakness finally broke her down at the moment Emily finished speaking.
With her legs buckling, Isolde fell in front of Deborah’s grave, sobbing her heart out.
In the bleak, silent cemetery, her cries were filled with gut-wrenching sorrow.
Emily’s eyes reddened, too. She turned her head slightly, trying to hide the tears welling up.
She said in her heart, ‘Deborah, I’ve brought your little sister Isolde here, the one you worried about. You can finally rest in
peace.
The wind blew, rustling the leaves, like a response.
After what felt like ages, Isolde finally stopped crying, and her face regained its usual icy composure.

Chapter 363
She was still sitting in front of the grave. With her bloodshot and teary eyes, she looked fragile and shaken, yet there was an intimidating determination on her face.
She looked up at Emily and said, “Thank you for bringing me those words, and for giving Deborah a place to rest at last. But could you tell me who was directly responsible for her death?”
Isolde wasn’t dumb. She used to have Deborah shielding her, so she could be the carefree, spoiled little sister who never had to worry about anything and could slack off at the back of the pack.
But now, with no one left to protect her, she had no choice but to stand on her own two feet.
Emily’s evasive answers, these graves that belonged to someone but had no names carved on them, and that mysterious place where people vanished after being sent to “be taught a lesson”, all of them reeked of something sinister.
Emily remained silent in the face of her question. After a long pause, Emily asked, “Do you still want to avenge her?”
