Chapter 370

With so many people watching her now, she had to deliver some real results on this project. But whether those results would be good or bad all depended on whether Andrew would notice anything.

After another late night of overtime, with everyone else gone, Emily stretched and slowly started packing up to leave.

Her car was parked on the lowest level of the parking garage, so she always had to take the elevator down, then walk a bit to

her car.

Today, just like any other day, she stepped into the elevator and rode it down to the bottom floor. But the moment the doors slid open, two men suddenly barged in.

Emily’s face was full of panic, but before she could get a word out, one man clamped a cloth over her mouth and nose, while the other pinned her arms in place.

Something sharp and chemical stung her nose, and in no time, Emily-who had been struggling like crazy-went limp. Her eyes fluttered shut as she blacked out.

The two men were pros at this. They dragged the unconscious Emily into the nondescript van waiting just outside the elevator doors. The van’s windows were covered with dark tint, making the inside gloomy.

Emily was carelessly dumped onto the back seat of the van.

One man said, “Who would’ve thought this job would be such a breeze? I figured snatching someone from Bennett Group would be way tougher.”

The other man chimed in, “Not only was it easy, but we even got ourselves a bonus. I just got a good look-this chick’s pretty damn good-looking.”

The two men were talking animatedly up front, completely unaware that Emily, who was supposed to be unconscious in the back seat, had already come to and opened her eyes.

Now that she knew exactly when and how Sean would make his move, she was going to be prepared. She’d already taken an anti-narcotic pill back in the elevator and had several trackers and bugs hidden on her person.

With the dim lighting in the van and the two men sitting up front, Emily couldn’t make out their faces. Not wanting to tip them off, she slowly closed her eyes again, maintaining the same position she had been tossed into.

Meanwhile, in a sealed vehicle tailing right behind the van, Austin was also picking up on the two men’s conversation. His face was tight, a heavy, intimidating presence for him. For a split second, a dangerous glint flickered in his eyes.

About half an hour later, the van finally came to a stop, and Emily was roughly dragged out by the two men.

She took the opportunity to crack her eyes open just a bit and glanced around. Then she recognized the place as the Hiltin

Hotel.

It was the very same hotel where, after coming back from St. Gabriel Reform Academy, she’d run into Sean for the first time -and in front of a whole crowd, she’d slammed him to the ground and beaten him up.

Emily thought, ‘Looks like Sean never forgot that humiliation, and picked this hotel on purpose.’

Emily only glanced around for a moment before pretending to be unconscious again, so nobody noticed anything off about

her.

The two men marched her out of the elevator, one on each side, and straight down the long corridor.

Just then, a door not far away suddenly opened, and two men in well-tailored suits stepped out.

The front man was strikingly handsome, with a cold, aristocratic aura and the commanding presence of someone long accustomed to power-so intimidating that few dared to meet his gaze.

The man following behind wore gold-rimmed glasses and had the appearance of an assistant.

As the two groups approached, the men holding Emily instinctively ducked their heads and shuffled to the side, trying not to draw any attention to themselves.

The cold, commanding man didn’t even spare them a glance at first, planning to walk right past. But as he drew near, his eyes suddenly landed on Emily’s face. His expression froze in place, and he stopped in his tracks.
