Chapter 394

It was clear they held a grudge against the Bennett family. A supplier with a grudge was better for Emily and Austin’s plan against the Bennett Family.

Emily didn’t hesitate. She decided right then to fly overseas herself. But just as she stepped out of the company, someone suddenly grabbed her arm tightly.

“Emily, tell me the truth. St. Gabriel Reform Academy. That place. What is it?” His voice was loaded with all kinds of feelings: anger, fear, hate, and frustration.

The guy looked rough, scruffy beard, like he hadn’t showered in days. Emily barely recognized him. It was Vincent. She frowned and tried to pull back with a look of disgust, but he held her arm so tightly that she couldn’t get away.

She got annoyed. “Vincent, let go!”

But Vincent wasn’t himself. He didn’t seem to hear her and just kept asking, “What kind of place is it? Tell me what kind of place it is.”

Emily’s bodyguards, who’d been nearby, quickly surrounded Vincent, ready to pull him off her. But Emily stopped them with a raise of her hand and stared at the disturbed man in front of her.

“Vincent, have you been to St. Gabriel Reform Academy?” Her voice was ice cold.

Hearing that, Vincent slowly snapped back. When he met Emily’s eyes full of quiet anger, his grip on her arm loosened without him realizing, and he instinctively took a step back.

But Emily held his arm tightly so he couldn’t move away. “I’m asking you again. Have you been to St. Gabriel Reform Academy?”

Vincent’s condition showed he knew something about the place. But only people like her, who were sent there for “training” or the clients, knew the truth.

“Vincent, did you become one of their clients?” Her voice shook, and her face went pale.

“I…” Vincent avoided her gaze and shrank back. “No, no, it wasn’t me. I didn’t mean to. It was Jeremy. He set me up. I didn’t hurt anyone. I didn’t kill anyone. I didn’t.”

Vincent trembled all over. Suddenly, he grabbed Emily’s hand like it was a lifeline. “Please believe me. I didn’t kill anyone. It’s not my fault. Jeremy framed me. It’s not my fault.”

Emily had her answer. She felt a deep, bitter disappointment. For the first time, she realized the boy she’d liked since she was a kid was completely rotten inside.

Of course, she knew Vincent hadn’t killed anyone. Because at St. Gabriel Reform Academy, they always used these tricks on new clients.

They’d catch them with fake evidence first, and then slowly drag them into the dark. Over time, that fake evidence would

turn real.

But if someone didn’t want to go to St. Gabriel Reform Academy, they wouldn’t force them in with such harsh methods. that’d just cause trouble for them.

So Vincent had gone there willingly. At that moment, the boy Emily had once loved was dead to her. Just as she was about to respond, Lydia suddenly ran up, tore Vincent’s hand off, and stood between them.

“Emily, Vincent already said he doesn’t like you. Why are you still bothering him?” After snapping at Emily, Lydia looked at Vincent with a pitiful face. But before she could say more, she froze at how Vincent looked now.

She frowned with disgust and stepped back a bit. Then, quickly collecting herself, she softened and grabbed Vincent’s arm gently. “Vincent, you… Ah!”
