Chapter 421
Ever since Austin found out Andrew was digging into St. Gabriel Reform Academy, he’d been watching his every move, afraid Andrew would do something dumb and end up causing more trouble for Emily.
But honestly, Andrew’s reaction just struck him as both laughable and disappointing. ‘What right does someone like him have to ask for Emily’s forgiveness?’ Austin thought.
He knew the Bennett family was sorry, and they wanted to be forgiven. But they didn’t have the right to expect that.
Austin thought, ‘Emily suffered so much and went through so much pain. Why should their regret and a few crocodile tears be enough to wipe all that away? At the very least, they should have to feel the same pain Emily did.
So, Austin pulled some strings and got Andrew sent to St. Gabriel Reform Academy. The academy never accepted random nobodies, so Andrew was shipped in under Emily’s name.
The academy knew Emily was taking over the Bennett family, and with all the dirt she had on them, they didn’t even hesitate to take him in.
They even promised they’d make sure Andrew got to experience every bit of hell Emily went through during those two
years.
When Emily heard the news, she replied, “Let’s see if you actually follow through.”
She never pretended to be a good person. Like a little regret could never pay for all the nightmares she’d lived through. If they wanted fairness, they’d have to suffer just like she did.
Other than Austin and Emily, nobody knew where Andrew was. When he went missing, the whole Bennett family was thrown into utter chaos. In the end, Gale had to take charge.
But Gale had been out of the game for so long that he was rusty. He didn’t even have a clue about the little tricks Emily was pulling behind the scenes.
Emma was sick. Andrew was missing. Gale was running around like a chicken with its head cut off. The only one left who could hold things together was Lucas.
But on the day Lydia was exposed, Lucas got stabbed in the hand, and after that, it was useless.
It looked normal on the outside, but he couldn’t use any strength in it anymore. To him, holding a fork to eat was a struggle, let alone racing cars.
Lucas had loved racing since he was a kid. It was his dream. Since his hand was useless, Lucas had been down in the dumps for a long time, but in the end, he managed to get back on his feet.
It wasn’t just because the family needed him. He also figured it was just one hand, after all. With his skills, if he put in the work, he could still race just fine.
Thinking that way, Lucas pulled himself together. He started taking care of Emma at home while also searching everywhere for any sign of Andrew.
Lucas had always lived it up to the Bennett family’s power, but at that moment, when he was trying to hold the family together for the first time, he realized just how tough it was.
But he couldn’t show any weakness in front of others. Only in the dead of night, when everything was quiet, would he think about going to Emily to vent.

Chapter 421
Just like when they were kids. Whenever he turned to Emily, nothing ever seemed scary anymore. He scrolled through his entire contact list, but still couldn’t find a way to get in touch with Emily.
He considered going to the company, just like Emma had, but then he remembered Emily hadn’t forgiven Emma. She’d
up either. even suspected Emma of trying to sway public opinion against her. That made him not dare show
With all these worries weighing on his mind, Lucas went to the room where Emily used to live, hoping it might bring him
some comfort.
But when he pushed open the door and saw the whole place still cluttered with clothes and shoes that hadn’t even been sorted out yet, it suddenly hit him that Emily’s room had been turned into Lydia’s walk-in closet.
That happened right after they dragged Emily off to St. Gabriel Reform Academy. They couldn’t even wait a single day. They cleared out the room that very night.
Just how many stupid things have we done?’ Lucas thought.
