Chapter 193
Sarah’s POV
I followed the desperate cries echoing across the deck, my eyes landing on a scene that made my stomach turn. A sleazy–looking man was forcibly grabbing a young Omega server,
his intentions painfully obvious.
“Pretty little thing, aren’t you? All fresh and sweet,” the man leered, his voice dripping with predatory intent. “Why don’t you spend some time with Alpha Reid? I promise to make it worth your while.”
The girl struggled against his grip. “Alpha Reid, you’ve misunderstood. I’m just a server here. There are plenty of other women who would be happy to… please look elsewhere and let me go.”
His face contorted with rage. “Little bitch, who do you think you’re fooling? You know exactly what kind of yacht this is.”
“Since you’re here, it’s for money, right? Just name your price. If you make me happy, money won’t be an issue. Now come to my cabin.” His grip on her arm tightened visibly.
“I’m not for sale! Where are you taking me?” Panic flooded the girl’s face as she realized she was being dragged away. “Let me go! Help! Someone please help me!”
Everyone around us continued their conversations and activities as if nothing was
happening.
Not a single person even glanced in their direction. It was sickening how normal this
seemed to them.
The girl’s sobs grew louder, more desperate as she was pulled toward the inner cabins. Her
pleas fell on intentionally deaf ears.
I wasn’t heartless.

I heard her.
I wanted to help her.
But I couldn’t.
I had no wolf. No strength. No status. Nothing that would make a difference here.
And that truth burned more than fear ever could.
The shame sat heavy in my

Suddenly, a pair of hands clutched my arm with surprising strength. “Miss!! Please!”
I turned to see the server girl had somehow broken free from the man and latched onto me, her face streaked with tears. “Miss, save me!”
“Please help me!!” Her grip tightened, her nails digging into my skin through the thin fabric of my dress.
Alpha Reid stormed over, yanking at her. “You ungrateful little slut. I’ll teach

Then he turned his glare on me. “Walk away now if you know what’s good for you. Mind your own business, or you’ll be next!”
“Don’t leave, Miss!” The girl clung to me like I was her last hope in the world. Huge tears rolled down her cheeks. “I don’t know him! Please help me, save me!”
“I’ll repay you somehow, I swear it!”
The man began prying her fingers from my arm one by one. With each finger he removed, the girl’s cries grew more desperate. Everyone around us continued to pretend nothing was happening.

I averted my gaze, trying not to look at her directly, but I could feel her grip tightening painfully on my arm. Her hoarse sobs pierced my ears like thorns.
I couldn’t help but think of my own situation last night. If Alexander hadn’t arrived when he
did to save me from those two predators, what would have happened to me?
Just as I made up my mind, the girl’s hands were finally wrenched away from me.
In that split–second decision, I grabbed her wrist firmly. I looked up, meeting the balding
man’s beady eyes with a forced smile. “Alpha Reid…”
“This girl looks barely of age. Perhaps you’d prefer someone more… willing? All this crying won’t make for a pleasant experience, would it?”
Before I could say another word, a sharp slap echoed across the deck. The force of it
whipped my head to the side, my sun hat flying off.
“Insolent bitch! That’ll teach you to mind your own business!” It was one of Reid’s men
who had delivered the blow.
He’d moved so quickly I hadn’t seen it coming. My cheek burned where he’d struck me, and
I could taste blood at th
corner of my mouth. The side of my face throbbed with the imprint of his fingers.
My ears rang from the impact, making it difficult to hear what they were saying, but I didn’t miss the cruel, amused expressions on their faces. They were laughing at me for daring to
interfere.
Well, there was no turning back now. I’d already crossed the line.
“Miss!!” The girl cried out in horror, clinging to my arm again. “Are you okay?!”
I winced as I wiped the blood from my lip, then looked back up with the same calm smile. “Alpha Reid, has that slap satisfied your anger?”
“If not, a few more would be fine if it makes you happy.”

The girl looked at me with overwhelming gratitude, tears streaming down her face.
“Miss…”
“Be quiet,” I cut her off coldly, and she immediately fell silent.
Alpha Reid seemed transfixed by my face ever since my hat had flown off. He stared at me for several long seconds, particularly at the dimple that appeared in my left cheek when I smiled–a smile that didn’t reach my eyes and held no warmth.
“Thank you for your kindness, Alpha Reid.” Seeing his silence as acquiescence, I turned to leave with the girl.
“Stop right there!” A commanding voice boomed behind us.
I frowned as the girl trembled beside me, her legs barely supporting her. “Miss, what do we do now?” she whispered fearfully.
One of Reid’s men quickly blocked our path. “Who said you could leave? My Alpha hasn’t dismissed you yet.”
Taking a deep breath, I turned back with another practiced smile. “Is there something else, Alpha Reid?”
The pudgy man’s eyes roved over my body with undisguised lust. “I might let the girl go,
but I have one condition.”
His gaze was so blatant that I didn’t need to guess what he wanted. I brushed a strand of hair from my face, forcing a seductive smile. “Let me guess… you want me instead?”
“Smart girl! I do love the clever ones.” With a nod to his henchman, I was suddenly shoved forward into Reid’s flabby arms.
The stench of his body odor nearly made me gag.
“Miss!!” The girl screamed, trying to help me, but was quickly dragged away. Reid’s man

Reid tilted my chin up, leering at me. “So, do we have a deal?”

A ferocious punch connected with Reid’s face, cutting off my words mid–sentence.
The crowd around us gasped collectively.
Everything happened so fast. Reid hadn’t even seen it coming before an iron fist sent him sprawling to the deck. He immediately exploded with rage, “Who the hell dares to punch
me?!”
