He pulled back just enough to rest his forehead against mine, breath ragged,voice low and rough.
“Come on,” he murmured, “let’s get cleaned up.”

Before I could respond, he scooped me into his arms with ease, carrying me toward the bathroom as if I weighed nothing.
My pulse roared in my ears, anticipation spiraling as the door swung open and warm light spilled over us.
He set me down gently, reaching for the shower controls. Water began to stream from the showerhead–a soft, steady rhythm.
Then it hit me.
The wound.
My eyes snapped to his shoulder, to the bandages I’d nearly forgotten in the haze of everything that had just happened.
“Wait!” I blurted, reaching out instinctively. “Your stitches–you’re not supposed to get them wet.”
He stilled, hand hovering over the shower dial, eyes flicking to mine.
“The bandage is waterproof,”
“We should go back to the medical wing,” I said, forcing myself to focus on his injury rather than his nakedness. “Get it re–dressed properly.”
Alexander’s mouth curved into that dangerous smile that made my insides melt. “Later,” he promised, stepping under the spray and extending his hand to me. “Join me.”
I hesitated only a moment before taking his hand and stepping into the shower with him. The warm water cascaded over us both, steam rising between our bodies.
He reached for a bottle of shower gel, squeezing a generous amount into his palm. Instead of using it on himself, he placed his hands on my shoulders and began to work the soap into a lather against my skin.
“Turn around,” he commanded softly.
I obeyed, gasping when his strong hands slid down my back, kneading the muscles along my spine. His touch was both clinical and sensual, paying careful attention to every inch of skin.
“You’re still tense here,” he murmured, his thumbs pressing into the knots at the base of my neck. I moaned involuntarily as the tension released.

“My turn,” I insisted, turning to face him. I took the bottle from the shelf, pouring the liquid into my own hands.
Starting at his chest, I spread the soap across the hard planes of muscle, admiring how the water made his skin glisten. I was careful around his bandaged shoulder, my fingers tracing the edge of the waterproof covering.
“Does it hurt?” I asked quietly.
“Not anymore,” he replied, his eyes never leaving mine as my hands traveled lower, over his taut abdomen.
When my fingers brushed against his hardening length, he sucked in a breath. “Careful,” he warned, gripping my wrist. “If you touch me there, we won’t be getting clean anytime soon.”
I couldn’t help the mischievous smile that spread across my face. “Maybe that’s the idea.”
In one swift motion, he had me pressed against the cool tile wall, his mouth capturing mine in a hungry kiss. Water streamed down between us as his hands gripped my thighs, lifting me effortlessly.
“Wrap your legs around me,” he growled against my lips.
