Everyone’s eyes followed Elara’s pointed finger, each of them following her gaze with growing dishaliel
It landed on Bex
The room went still, every face blank, confused. For a moment, it seemed like time itself had stopped, then, as if the tension was too much to hold, Roman broke the silence, his laughter cutting through the stillness like a jagged knife.
“You’ve lost it. Liaral” he sneered, his voice thick with desbellel. “You’re telling me this is the mole? Bex? The Fonnesch Pack’s Gamma? Seriously, he’s the mole, I don’t know who the hell we can trust!”
Triss, usually calm, scowled. “I don’t doubt you or Alpha Thorne, Elara. But this? Pointing fingers at one of our own without proof! That messes with the morale of the whole army
Elara’s voice was steady, her eyes softerting with understanding as she spoke. “I get where you’re coming from, Triss Believe me, I won’t make accusations without solid evidence. You don’t need to worry.”
She then turned her attention back to Box, her voice firm but controlled. But you, Box… you’ve got something to say?”
All Leyes shifted toward Bex, who sat with his arms crossed, the weight of the moment pressing down on him. His expression was unreadable–his gaze blank at first, then narrowing slightly as he took in the room
He leaned forward, breaking the silence with a sharp snort. “What do you want me to say, Elara?”
His words dripped with sarcasm as he continued, his voice growing colder. “I’ve fought by your side, risked my life in the last battle, even got hurt. You think that’s not enough to earn your trust? If that’s not good enough for you, I don’t know what will be.”
His words hung in the air, the rawness of his tone striking hard, especially among those who had fought beside him–ke Roman and Theo. They seemed to hesitate, their conviction faltering for a moment
Theo’s fist clenched, his voice sharp with indignation. “Alpha Thorne, Elara, show us the proof, or I swear, Obsidian Pack’s soldiers are out of this alliance. I won’t stand by and let you slander an innocent man
“Hear, heart” Roman added, his voice rising in agreement.
Thome, calm but resolute, gave a slow nod. “Fair enough. We’ll show you the proof.”
He looked around the room, his eyes sweeping over the gathered leaders. “Does anyone still have the battle plan I gave out before the fight?”
Triss was the first to speak. “I’ve got mine. You told us to keep it to ourselves, though.”
“The fight’s over. The plan isn’t a secret anymore.” Thome’s voice held a quiet, deliberate command. “Let’s read it out loud”
Triss pulled her phone from her pocket, her finger scrolling over the screen. “Stand by till 3 o’clock and attack the South Gate
Next, Theo stood, reading from his own phone will 3 o’clock and attack the West Gate.”
Thorne nodded at each of them, his eyes moving foward Roman
Roman rolled his eyes. ”
the same–cover the East Gate. But what does this prove?”
Thome didn’t answer the challenge directly, fris gaze finally shifted to Box, piercing, calculating “And you, Bex?”
Bex’s voice was low, almost a whisper. “I was supposed to attack the North Gate.”

Thome’s eyes hardened, “Good”
Standing up, Thorne’s gare became ity. “Now, let me ask you this: Have any of you wondered why the West, East, and South Cates to file
resistance?”
The room fell into a tense silence. Triss’s voice broke the stillness, quiet but certain, “Because all the rogue forces were gathered at the North Gine. Ber’s target ”
She gasped, the realization hitting her like a blow. “Oh… I think I get it
“Wait, what?” Theo’s voice was full of confusion. “What are you talking about?”
Triss gave him a sharp look, “Think about it. Then, if the rogues didn’t know about our plan, why would they concentrate their forces at just one guta?. They should have split them evenly.”
Roman’s eyes widened as the pieces began to fall into place. “But they didn’t. They focused everything on the North Gate, leaving the others wide op That doesn’t make sense unless-
“Unless the mole told them where to go,” Triss finished, her voice gaining strength. “It’s the only explanation that fits”
Roman and Theo stood frozen, mouths hanging open. Bex’s face drained of color, the weight of the accusation settling over him like a shroud.
Elara’s voice cut through the tension like a knife. “This is a test that Alpha Thome set up to find the male. Whoever the rogues concentrated their forces
on is the person we’re after.”
Roman’s voice faltered. “But… but what if it’s a coincidence? What if the Rogue King just picked a gate randomly?”
Thome raised his hand, silencing the room. “I figured someone might ask that. So, I’ve got a testimony for you.”
He turned toward the soldiers standing outside. “Bring him in.”
The tent flap opened, and two soldiers dragged a rogue into the room, forcing him to kneel before Thorne
Thome’s voice was cold as he addressed the prisoner. “Answer truthfully, and you might live. What did Stemning or the Rague King tell you before the
battle?”
The rogue trembled, his voice quaking as he spoke. “Sterning said you’d attack the Crimson Fort bonight. He didn’t explain why he was so sure…but he knew, And he told us to guard the North Gate. That was your only target…
He broke off, shaking with fear. His voice grew more forceful. “That bastard Sterning was stupid to trust whoever fed him that info! And we were stupid to follow him! if it weren’t for him, we would’ve won! Damn Sterning-
Thorne raised a hand, cutting him off. “Enough”
The soldiers quickly silenced the rogue, dragging him out of the tent
Thorne turned back to the room, his voice heavy. “You heard it yourself. This wasn’t a coincidence. Someone fed them the plan. And we all know who
that is.”
Elara’s voice rang out, a quiet finality in her words. It’s Box”
Slowly, the eyes of everyone in the room turned toward him. There was anger, betrayal, grief in their g
rgazes.
Bexleaned back, his arms crossed over his chest. He remained silent for a low long seconds, his eyes never leaving the floor,
Then, with a long deep breath, he spoke, his voice tinged with resignation. “Maybe…maybe one of my soldiers took the plan from me–
Elara’s words were sharp, cutting through his attempt to deflect. “You told me yourself, Bex You told no one about the details of the plan.”

Box’s head snapped up, his eyes flashing. His voice was a harsh whisper. “What, so now you’re using ma too! You knew about the plan, Elara Maybe it was you or your rogue soldiers who leaked it.
Elara:

Elara took a slow breath. “You’ve been caught. You’re the mole, Bex.”
Bex leaned back in his chair, a bitter smile twisting his lips. “Well, you’ve got me. Congratulations. You nailed it.”
Before anyone could react, Roman lunged forward, his fury erupting, “Why, Hex? Why would you do this?”
He showed Bex hard, fists flying, “I trusted your thought we were friends! You son of a bitch… Why?!”
